One step further, I should point out that most Israelis aren't about oppressing Palestinians at all, and the soldiers there are more about defense than is portrayed.
Seriously, though, Israel acts mostly on the defense when you get down to it. A lot of these things you watch are rather biased and I've seen some flat-out omit things. There is concern some are rather staged as well. Still, what you should realize is that Israel's official actions towards the Palestinians isn't done out of hostility towards them, but rather in concern for their own safety. Yes, there is a wall built that keeps Palestinians out of the greater Israel area...but it was constructed in response to suicide bombings that were taking Israeli life daily. There is a blockade on Gaza but that was put up in response to Hamas flat-out bombing Israel, and years after when Israel tried other options. The people there don't really have a desire to see the Palestinians harmed or killed. At least, not to the extent where they're wasting money, materials, and lives to do so, because everything Israel puts into defense is veeerrryyy costly. But they have no choice, if you look at the actions and rhetoric that is thrown against them. Try to understand it from their prospective.
This world is a rage-filled place, and a lot of horrible things happen all over. It's a shame that Israel gets all the attention, since Syria's death count in four years has already surpassed that of the entirety of the Arab-Israeli conflict. Minorities in the Middle East are fleeing like flies, and have their rights stripped off... though not in Israel, actually. Perhaps if you look at the entire world's problems, or even just those confined elsewhere in the Middle East, it'll at least lessen your rage at Israel to a point where you're disappointed with everyone and can't focus solely on them. Since while they get the most attention, there are other groups out there that most arguably do have it worse.
