Impact drivers

These are described as a mechanism which offers increased force that is certainly usually applied perpendicular towards the bit. The added force ensures that as the user you don't apply a lot of manual pressure to the drill in order to accomplish a tough task.

These units are generally perfect for driving long fasteners and loosening large bolts such as lug nuts on car wheels.

Whilst they work well inside their working, they generally make plenty of noise if in operation. They are also not ideal for fine woodworking tasks as they tend to have added power that can easily cause a screw to blast through the other side of the wood if you are not careful when working.
