My Book
I've been writing in this since I was thirteen in 2007. I still am writing in it, and it will probably be my legacy till the day I die. (Don't start reading from the beginning as my writing was atrocious then.)
"Antigone"
Author's Notes: I wrote an essay in the junior year of high school using the play Antigone, by Sophocles. We were suppose to write about the literary elements and themes, Sophocles used and was portrayed in the play. I inadvertently depicted Antigone as a heroine, a champion of justice against the tyrant Creon. Despite the stretched truths within the essay, I still manage to get a ninety-nine on it due to on point analysis. I have to write about Antigone again, but I'm gonna have to re-read it because my version isn't really accurate. Anyways here is how I kinda imagined the story to be, Enjoy! Lol.

------Battle was occurring amongst the entrance of the castle gate. The legendary Tersias, along with the revolutionaries are besieging the city of Thebes after Terisias himself has casted the furies upon the opposing army of King Cleon. The furies have wrecked havoc upon the sentries, with spells of plague and fire. But despite this, the revolutionaries were still outnumbered and outclassed by Cleon's army. Amidst the chaos and warfare, Antigone, the leader of the revolutionaries with a couple of rebels sneaked past the walls of the castle via a secret entrance with the aid of Prince Haemon, who supported them. Their plan was simple and straightforward. With the help of the prophet Tiresias, they rallied the revolutionaries and marched to the front door creating a diversion for Antigone and her strike force to sneak past the castle and capture King Creon himself. With Tiresias's magic and the rest of the revolutionaries holding the line until Antigone captures Creon and put an end to the fighting.

------It was not as it was planned however, as The Chorus, a group of powerful old sages have foreseen the conflict through visions. And intercepted Antigone and Haemon just before they reach the throne room. Haemon urged Antigone to go forward as he'll hold off the chorus.

------"Go Antigone! This is your chance to save you sister and put an end to all this madness." Haemon yelled as he dodged waves of fire balls while shooting back arrows with his wrist mounted cross bow.

------"I can't leave you here! I need you by my side!" pleaded Antigone as she held her ground behind her shield; deflecting spells with it. She has no other choice though. She knows Haemon is right. Antigone ran towards the door to the throne room, but members of the chorus blocked her path.

------"We cannot let you pass." The chorus spoke in unison with their deep voices, and threw balls of elemental energy towards Antigone.

------"Duck!" Haemon shouted. Antigone ducks as Haemon orders the rebel crossbowmen to shoot back with body language. Some of the bolts successfully hit members of the chorus taking them down. "Go Antigone!"

------She runs past the enemy lines, with a tears flowing down her eyes and enters the throne room. Haemon smiles and whispers to himself. "You got this girl."

------"Now where were we." Haemon asks the chorus.

------Antigone enters the throne room and wipes away her tears. She looks up ahead and sees the final boss, Creon. The one who misjudged her brothers and the one who captured her sister. She grasps on tightly to her shield and sword; walking slowly towards him with anger radiating from her and vengeance in her eyes. Creon smirks and sits up off his throne and slowly starts to clap.

------"I am here to congratulate you on making it this far." He says smugly. "Though I didn't anticipate that it would be my son who would help you. Nonetheless I have been expecting you."

------"Cleon you reign of terror ends here!" Antigone took upon a stance pointing her blade towards the tyrant. "Lets settle this here and now!"

------Creon summons his sword from thin air, "Come Antigone, face your destiny upon my blade!"

------The two rushed towards each other clashing blades. They battle it out almost as if they were dancing. Cleon soon finds himself outclassed by Antigone's youth and her willpower to defeat him. He could feel her anger with every slash he intercepts and blocks. He falls back and summons two members of The Chorus to aid him. Antigone however prepared for this. Using a summoning stone Tiresias gave Antigone before the battle, she summons two furies to aid her. The furies breathed a mixture of flame and plague towards The Chorus and Creon but they held their ground using a barrier spell. They counter attack by using a light spell to blind the furies and Antigone, while Creon creates a shockwave to blast Antigone and the furies away. Antigone from shock froze for a critical moment, and gave time for the chorus to bind her to the ground using a gravity spell. Creon points his sword towards her, as she tries to break free.

------"Bow your head before me peasant!" Cleon exclaims. He is afraid, seeing the defiance and struggle of Antigone. He pushes her to the ground further more and steps on her head. "I will see to it that you will see your sister die before your eyes before I kill you, He threatens her. Suddenly Haemon enters the throne room, heavily injured from his battle against The Chorus.

------"Father!" He screams as he aims his crossbow towards him. He launches the bolt. As it reaches Creon, he stops it with his mind and reflects it back towards his son shooting him down, killing him. And in slowmotion, Haemon falls on his knees and Antigone cries in anger trying to resist the gravity that binds her.

------"Foolish boy." Creon whispers to himself. "Its unfortunate that he had to die, I'll make sure that his life wasn't in vain, by sacrificing yours."

------Antigone started laughing hysterically as tears fall down her face. "You know, I expected this to happen." She looked into Creon's eyes. "I have set the furies to spread plague to the city in case we fail." She laughed even more even though in her heart, she knew she has lost everything. "Soon you will rule over nothing!"

------Creon orders his men to take Antigone away to the darkest of dungeons as he walks the throne room to the balcony. He saw his city set ablaze as furies run rampant throughout spreading their toxin clouds. He looked down to the entrance of the castle gate, where he sees that his trap was successful and Tiresias laid dead amongst the rebels. With the might of his army and The Chorus, he manages to stop the furies. But by then it was already too late, and the furies have distributed the plague and have killed many innocent civilians. In shock of the devastation of the rebellion which also took away his son, his only successor; He stops and contemplates upon his rule and tries to be a better king for his people.
