Before using a coupn, really look to make sure you are getting the best savings. Sometimes, coupons can be deceiving, as they will not yield you the better deal. Don't just assume that your coupon will bring you the most savings available.

Using coupons on sale items will result in the biggest savings. Sometimes, this means that you will have to hang onto a coupon for a couple of weeks instead of using it on your next shopping trip. Grocery shopping may take slightly longer but it's worth it to save money.

Keep track of when your coupons expire. There are coupons out there that might only be good on a given day. Others are redeemable for longer periods.
