Washing your Soccer Jersey
There are very many precautions which should be taken under consideration so as to keep a soccer jersey away from being easily destroyed. The obvious one is washing them. A bad washing style will definitely lead to serious and continuous damage of your jersey. If you care about the numbers on your jersey wearing off, then you should follow some precautions while washing your jersey so as to keep it safe and keep it looking new for a very long time.

Washing Instructions

First of all, you need to turn your jersey inside out. Doing this will preserve the numbers and any ironed-on letters on your jersey, and also prevent any chances of them rubbing off.

After that, you will then put your jersey into your washing machine. Make sure you place it separate from the other regular clothing. If you have two or more jerseys to clean, then you can definitely wash them all together by using any regular washing detergents. Don’t forget to wash your jerseys on the gentle cycle of the washing machine. Remove them immediately after the washer is done. Never place them in a dryer after the washing, just leave them to dry on air.

You can also do the washing just by hand, using cold water if you do not have a washing machine. Hand washing is better since you can carefully wash the numbers and lettering on your jersey.

Things to Remember

If you are doing the washing for the first time, it is better if you use Woolite rather than the regular detergents to clean your jerseys. This is because Woolite is somehow easier on the jerseys than the regular detergents and it will always keep them looking new. Never use any bleach while trying to do away with any stubborn stains as that could totally ruin your jersey. You can as well try using a spot remover for better results.

You should also avoid the regular and frequent washing of your jersey every time you put it on (provided that you do not wear it into a smoke filled place, or sweat in it a lot). Doing this will save your jersey from wearing out quickly.
