Martial arts and audio in Chinese extravaganza.

Immortal Chi: A Warriors Quest for Harmony,
Congress Theatre,
Eastbourne

I have been in love with China because I frequented Hong Kong in 2005 so to have the chance to assessment a brand new display immediate from China on their very first pay a visit to to the United kingdom was an interesting possibility.

Playing the Congress Theatre, Eastbourne, for two evenings over the weekend of July 5 and 6, Immortal Chi, A Warrior’s Quest for Harmony, was conceived and directed by the Cirque du Soleil director Erick Villeneuve and the inventive group.

They experienced run out of programmes in Eastbourne but I met with Zhan Yucheng the Manufacturing Supervisor in the interval who informed me the story of this spectacular show. It is the tale of a Thai Chi Grasp and his supreme problem to regain his secret internal strength – the Immortal Chi.

There was a impressive exhibit of Chinese martial arts and acrobatics, motion and audio and stunning costumes.

The spotlight for me was the performance by the Chinese woman drummers.

Eastbourne was extremely blessed to be ready to see this demonstrate as it was an expertise never to be overlooked.

This might be their first pay a visit to to the British isles but hopefully it will not be the very last.
