Sunrise

The other morning, I stayed up until sunrise. It wasn't on purpose. I suppose I just got caught up watching videos and didn't realize how much time had gone by. So the next thing I know, light begins to peak in from the gaps between the blinds on my window. I didn't look outside to actually watch the sunrise though, which probably would have been nice. Nevertheless, just knowing that the sun was rising, filling my room with a very, very pale blue color, was amazing.

And let me tell you, it was beautiful.

I don't stay up that late very often at all, and I hardly ever pull all nighters. The last time I pulled an all nighter was about 4 years ago. It's a very fond memory and because of that night, sunrises have always given me "the feels", and that's probably why I don't pull all nighters anymore nor do I every stay up late enough to see the sunrise.

But when I experienced the sunrise again the other day, it was just wonderful, didn't really give me the feels right away like always. Made me feel... new, in a way. Ever since that morning, I've been thinking about getting up early enough to experience the light from the sun filter in through my window every morning. It's a pretty hard feat, considering I love my sleep, but I think it'd be worth it every once in a while/every so often. We'll see.
