As the daylight beams into my eyes,
As I lay quietly in my bed,
I breath my soft and silent sighs,
And let my demons escape my head.
In my bed I lie awake,
My eyes focused on the ceiling,
Thinking of how much I take,
And wondering what I'm feeling.
My mind wanders to darker places,
Where shadows are black as coal,
And it sees so many twisted faces,
Of oh so many a forsaken soul.
Someone's fate I wish to borrow,
To leave this dreary life of mine,
But sadly I must live through sorrow,
And of it's end there is no sign.
I sigh and lay back, my mind in strife,
My breath so soft and cold,
And I wonder if I'll live my life,
Or die before I'm old.
As I lay quietly in my bed,
I breath my soft and silent sighs,
And let my demons escape my head.
In my bed I lie awake,
My eyes focused on the ceiling,
Thinking of how much I take,
And wondering what I'm feeling.
My mind wanders to darker places,
Where shadows are black as coal,
And it sees so many twisted faces,
Of oh so many a forsaken soul.
Someone's fate I wish to borrow,
To leave this dreary life of mine,
But sadly I must live through sorrow,
And of it's end there is no sign.
I sigh and lay back, my mind in strife,
My breath so soft and cold,
And I wonder if I'll live my life,
Or die before I'm old.
