Last night around 9.35, we had a 3.7 earthquake hit the area. Wow. I haven't been in an earthquake here in my area since I was at least 14 years old, so this was like new for me(even though it wasn't). It first sounded like two explosions, then it rattled the apartment for at least five seconds. I was in the bathroom when it happened(how appropriate). I almost ended up running out of the bathroom with my pants at my ankles, it was that bad. But I stayed put, knowing that if I made one wrong sudden move, there might be more of whatever could bee happening..

I seriously thought that it was the neighbours again making noise above me, when the first explosion happened. But then when the second one happened and then the rattling started, I knew it had to be something bigger than that. Later on I was laying down and my bio mom called me up and asked me if I had felt the earthquake, and I said yup, that I had. I told her where I was at the time it hit, and she joked about it being me that caused it. I said nah I had thought it was her that done it. We sat there and laughed for a few minutes. Then I got to work and looked it all up and sure enough, it had made the news right away.

All sorts of reports had come off of the earthquake right after it hit. People reported hearing the same explosions that I did. Some said it sounded like a car had hit their house or building. Some thought it was a meteor exploding from outer space. Some thought it was because of all the fracking. But I know it wasn't the fracking. I knew that earthquakes do hit the area. I know because I was in one when I was 14. I was living in Evans at the time it happened. And that one also happened at night. The next day, there were reported cracks in most of the downtown area's streets. The canopy on my bed was even quivering.
