The rules of ettiquette when you're buying your groceries
Taking this journal to a new adventure, about my experience as a grocer and having to deal with... all sorts of interesting customers, and because of them, I feel that there's a need for a rule book
The Rosia Forest
The Rosia Forest always had a bad reputation to it. A dense forest with an ominous feel to it, as if anything or anyone could pop out from behind the trees. There were many legends to it, that there were the ghosts of those who died in the fores who still haunted the place, that an evil witch lived in it, to lure victims to her trap, even ones about a vampire family who lived in it. So villagers and travelers took to avoiding it. The problem with that idea was that traveling around the forest took only two days... while going around it would waste a whole week of your time. Though despite people's fears about the forest, there was a clear path through it, and over the past few months there had been talk that it was actually safe to go through.

Which probably would explain why one girl was so bold to go in there alone, with a cart and two horses to pull it along. The cart had 8 barrels, some other miscellaneous things, and an object covered with a cloth and tied with a rope. The girl, herself, looked to be nothing special. Long charcoal hair was tied into a messy bun, matching the pair of dark spectacles that covered her ice blue eyes. Her white long sleeve shirt was rolled up to the elbows, given the heat, with her blue coat resting beside her as she sat in the cart, though she kept the matching vest on still. Dark pants and matching leather shoes made it easy for her to look professional when needed, but with only a chestnut and white horse with gray spots around, she did not worry.

She kept her eyes on the road, swaying in rhythm with the cart, until she had to pull on the reigns, forcing a stop. "Woah girls, woah!... I don't remember that being there." She said, staring at the road ahead of them, with a log in the way. She frowned, noting that at one end, there was signs of an axe chopping at it. She could hear the snap of branches, as suddenly the girl was surrounded by six bandits. "... Ah... that would be why." She said, glancing to her left and right, noting one holding a cross bow aimed at her head. The thin one, who had a pencil mustache, spoke up. "Oh, so sorry. It seems you have crossed into our forest... there is actually a tax for crossing through." This caused the girl to have a faux surprise look. "... I'm sorry, your forest? Most interesting..."

"Don't be smart! Now put your hands were I can see them! What do you have in there?" She sighed, holding up her hands. "I'm sorry, I was just surprised to hear that this forest is yours. Oh please be careful with that." She glanced behind her to see one of them opening the barrels, revealing spices, salt, sugar, and so on. "What's this?" He grunted, examining the cloth wrapped mystery. That seemed to have caught her attention, as the girl glanced over to him. "Please be careful with that! It practically cost an arm and a leg to get." He choose to ignore her and unwrapped it, revealing both a coffee press and grinder. The confused looks made the girl sigh and explain. "I just really like coffee okay? And it's hard to get a decent cup around here."

"Whatever! Get out of the cart now." The girl gave a tired sigh and stood up. "Very well... Gentlemen, I feel like I should inform you that you are mistaken. This forest isn't your forest." This caused them to laugh at this, as the one with the crossbow got closer to the girl. "No, I'm serious. This forest is actually legally owned by the Rosia family." One of them remarked. "Tommard, just give her a warning shot to keep quiet." She could sense the man was getting the crossbow ready and she had to sigh, moving quickly. She moved her hands together, creating a yellow pollen out of thin air that blew into the face of 'Tommard' "GAH!" He grimaced as he took the pain, kneeling down as he found it hard to move. "Wha-" Another one said as she picked up the crossbow that was dropped and fired it at a bandit's shoulder.

She took a step back as a third charged at her, swiping at her with a dagger. She grabbed his wrist and twisted, forcing him to release it, and kicking him away. The leader gave an annoying grunt as the last two went over to him. "You aren't a simple merchant, it would seem." He grumbled, as the girl knelt down and picked up the dagger. "Nope..." She said, feeling the weight of the blade. "Infact, you're talking to the actual owner of the Rosia woods. My name is Kagami Lee Rosia. I can give you all a chance to leave now before things get ugly." In her free hand a ball of fire crackle to life. The bandits sneered at her offer and rushed at her. She hit one with the fire ball, knocking him right out, and winced in pain as a blade cut in the side of her stomach. She retorted with a slash of her dagger across his chest and then a second one that finally knocked him out.

Kagami looked at the last one, the leader, through her glasses, ignoring the grazed wound on her side. "... You really... shouldn't have come here." She said before firing one last ball of fire, following it with a finishing blow from her dagger. All around Kagami were bodies, and a nervous pair of horses. She sighed, looking down at herself, cursing as blood was staining on the left side of shirt. "Dammit... Oh well, it's not like there isn't more, I guess." She said going to the cart. She examined both the grinder and presser, glad to find them in good condition, before finding her bag, and a potion to heal herself. She took the time to calm down the horses and moving the bandits off the beaten path, taking from them what little cash they had, as payment for ruining her nice vest.

"Now, how to deal with you." She said, approaching the fallen log. She rolled up her sleeves even farther and started to push against it. Taking deep breaths, she started to push it, finding it to be heavier that expected. "Damn thing.... Move!" She growled through gritted fanged teeth. Eventually, it gave way to her will, as she managed to get it off the path, and she was allowed to keep going. "Ah finally..." She said, walking back to the cart and hopping back on, urging the horses to go. "I can't wait to get back and get some damn rest."
