Personally, I'd like to think that if you're going to call yourself pro choice, you shouldn't demonize adoption like I've seen many do in the past. Yes the system needs work, but that doesn't mean we should be comparing those who 'might' be adopted by an abusive family to those who 'might' develop down's syndrome or be completely unable to communicate or whatever.

No I'm not saying we should try to get everybody to adopt because iz bad 2 kill teh babehz, but we need to get it to the point where adoption is recognized as a more viable option instead of scaring women into thinking if she adopting is a bad idea and that aborting is the only other way to make this all disappear. She might not want to raise the kid, but maybe she still wants to bring them into the world. Some are like that, my mother was.
