Drill Team-3/8/14: Drill Competition
Last drill competition. The school we went to was 2 hours away from where I lived. My dad drove me to the competition. On the way back from the competition, I drove an hour back to our house then my dad drove the second hour. We stopped at Golden Corral for dinner. We didn't win anything this competition, so we can't go to the state competition. We were supposed to have a female squad march but the squad leader didn't show up. The drill team commander asked me that since my dad was here and I did good on the squad evaluation, if I wanted to march the female squad. I was nervous and said I would try, but sadly there wasn't enough females to make a squad today.

What I marched in:

Male/Mixed Unarmed Squad

Male/Mixed Unarmed Platoon

-Yes,i was finally able to do knockout this time for the first time. I was very nervous and my legs were shaking a lot. I knew that lately I have been having trouble with my about faces. I was like the 3rd person to get out because I wasn't really facing straight after I did the about face. But what matters is I had the courage to go out there and be in knockout, not whether I win or lose. I had fun being in knockout.

What I didn't march in:

Color Guard

Armed Knockout
