Hope is a driving force in life
It is a power within us all
Yet it is forgotten
Hope is so commonly left to die
When the clock strikes midnight
When times are at its darkest
We forget how to move forward
We forget how to wait for a rising sun
Many leave hope
When it is needed most
I have seen this with my own eyes
These eyes that hope for the best
Have seen the worst
This heart that tries showing kindness
Has felt great pain
I tell you now, I know the answer
Others have asked how I have recovered
From past events, from events around me
I now know the answer
Hope
Hope that things change
Hope that things get better
Hope that things go back
Do not abandon hope
