Daisy

When I was feeling blue, I found a daisy
And in such short days, he
Says that he feels a magnetism
As though he were drawn to me

Or perhaps it is I who was drawn to him
Serenaded by the beautiful hymn
And sipping from the sweet nectar
At the core of his pollen

A bright flower in the night of days
Luscious air and a comforting daze
For what is a butterfly without a flower?
Simply wings drifting away
