Balancer Part 3
“Okay, where was the last place we put the bag full of denarii at?” Connor spoke as he looked through the cabinets in the RV, the sun fully risen and him having a good nights sleep. He had already found the water he planned on using and was already having a mist going with boiling water, using the lighting to make an artificial rainbow since he didn’t want to wait to long on it, but he still needed an item of value and wasn’t planning on tossing any of the items his father had gave him.

‘Top shelf was the last place when I was out.’ Orrin spoke as he formed beside Connor, pointing to the shelf where Connor usually put the cereal boxes at, soon seeing a small pouch hanging on the edge. ‘I was looking for food while holding it one day.

“And that’s why we never hold things for too long.” Connor spoke as he grabbed the pouch before he pulled a chair in front of the rainbow and made sure he was within reaching distance of the radio before turning to the mist.

“Senator Meeting chamber, Camp Jupiter.” Connor spoke as he tossed the coin into the mist. The coin then disappeared and the mist reshaped and showed an array of teenagers to young adults conversing as Connor turned on his radio and turned it to a few stations as he watched them argue, still oblivious to him as he stopped on a station before he started to turn it up to be loud enough for them to notice before their arguing turned into questions as they looked around before Connor waved when a few saw him, making them tell the others to quiet down before he pulled up a chair and sat down and waited for the senate to become silent. “Good, you guys heard music. Hello.”

“Who are you, and what reasons do you have to interrupt this meeting?” came one of the senators, probably one of the newly made from how they talked, before Connor smirked.

“Connor Woods, Son of Janus, Ex-Centurion of the elite Praetorian Cohort, and the general that led in the reclamation for the Helmet of Caesar at Dakota.” Connor spoke, making murmurs go through the senate before silence came as he saw two purple robed characters, a male and female, walked to the front of the senate and stare at him through the message. “My Consul’s, you look better.”

“You look like the same carefree warrior, and still with Greek weapons when not in a cohort.” Spoke the female Consul as she noticed the Hoplon and Dory behind Connor, who only smirked as he leaned back in his chair. “Still different from the usual Roman.”

“What can I say, I’m called more to Hellenic warfare than I am to Roman.” Connor spoke as Ardnathal and Orrin appeared fighting where the Iris message was before he had flung both back, clearing the screen for him. “Doesn’t matter what I’m doing, though, I’m still a child of a Roman god that decided to interrupt a Senate meeting so I have everyone here.”

“Speaking of which, why is a wandering demigod calling us?” spoke the male consul, causing a resound of questions before Connor held up his hand, silencing them as his face turned stern.

“I have information on a attack to come in five days on Camp Jupiter, Camp Half-Blood, and the Roman-Greek Camp in Texas, and to warn you of the possible destruction of the walls of New Rome.” Connor spoke as he looked through the mist, Ardnathal and Orrin now back in his sight but no longer fighting as the group of senators looked at him in stunned silence. “By my estimates from gathering information from one of their high ranked recruiters, they should be arranged around three groups five thousand to attack the camps.”

“Impossible, we’ve heard no reports on this from our spies.” Came a senator, who looked around twelve and a bit young to be in the office. “And how could they manage to assemble an army that large?”

“It’s happened before in the last Titan War, when Saturn led his army mixed with traitors of our Greek brothers to take down Olympus.” Connor spoke as he looked through to the young senator. “I would expect a child who has only seen the marble halls of the Senate to at least have heard of how monsters have just as high intellect as we do, depending on the monster, but I’ll save that lecture for later since we’d be wasting precious time we should use to prepare ourselves for a war.”

“Speaking of which, had you learned who has mustered these forces to fight us?” another senator, one Connor remembered leading during his time as a praetorian, as she placed her hand on the boys shoulder to silence him. “It’d have to be a person with some major power over the monsters that could lead them.”

“And it is, though it’s one of the reasons I’m finding this situation fun after thinking over it awhile.” Connor spoke as he looked through the window to the senate. “The leader of this attack is Echidna herself, the mother of all monsters. I don’t know which she’ll be attacking, but I do know that I’ll be needed at the mixed camp in Texas if it still doesn’t have the required walls and defenses necessary.”

“Speaking of, how did they manage to find their location? We’ve been scattering all around that area to make sure they wouldn’t notice until we finished making the roads to lead them to New Rome and Camp Half-blood.” The male consul spoke this time, his gaze one of confusion as Connor remembered what he heard about the camp in Texas. After the defeat of Gaia, the demigods of the era asked to make a camp that was a mix of both sides so they could mix together better. The Greek gods and the Roman counterparts agreed to this on one condition, that they would manage to live without the help of the gods for twenty years, which had started ten years ago though they had started the project of building and maintaining the camp for the past fifteen.
“Apparently our scouts and false trails have finally run out of luck.” Connor spoke as he leaned back in his chair, hoping they would have some form of information. “How many campers do we have there?”

“Should be around three hundred and twelve, one hundred and twenty five Greek demigods and the rest Roman.” Came one of the senators, someone that had been around for longer than Connor had stayed. “They wont be able to survive an attack on this scale without help, and we can definitely hold back our attackers by amassing a wall and defenses over at the river. As for the Greek demigods, they’ll just have to increase the defenses of their sacred tree.”

“Which leaves one last question, will you send troops to protect the mixed camp?” Connor asked, his eyes now stern as he leaned forward, his hands joined as he waited for the reply before he began to hear the senators begin grumbling. “No need to rush it, just remember that we have five days, so I’ll reconnect to you guys at the end of the day.”

With that he waved his hand through the mist before they could object, filling his RV only with the sound of the music playing., which he immediately turned off since it had changed songs. ‘Well that went well.’ Came Orrin as he sat down in a formed chair beside Connor, who just sighed as he got up and had turned to go out the door to go find some food, turning off the electricity along the way.

“Hopefully well enough.” Connor replied before he opened the door to find an array of birds flying away from the direction of the building he had been in the previous night, a smoke cloud rising in the distance. “And it looks like we need to drive soon.”

"It'll take them a few hours to get here since they've only just now made it to there, so it's no rush." Ardnathal replied before Connor pulled another coin out as he saw the mist now formed back into a rainbow before he flipped it in.

"Ron Wolcott, Highway 84." Connor spoke, hoping it would work before he saw the image of a boy that looked three years younger than him, leaning on a parked motor cycle, looking over at him confused. "Ah good, it worked."

"How the hell did you know where I was?" Ron spoke as he got off the motor cycle and turned to him. "Ah never mind, I'll just learn why in the future. So why are you calling me?"

"Just thought that a son of Ares would want to know of an approaching battle to come on the mixed camp in Texas." Connor spoke, making Ron smirk as he pulled a bag off of his motorcycle and pulled a bronze broadsword with a bronze sheath, the blade measuring at least four feet in length, before he set it on his back, tying the sheath into position. "So, want me to meet up with you at Safe house 4 before I exchange the information?"

"You know it." Ron said as he closed the bag and got onto the motor cycle. "Expect me to be late, though. I have a sudden hunger for food and I ran out of supplies."

"Got it, I'll meet you there." Connor replied before Ron took off and the image vanished. causing him to notice the smoke getting closer. "Time to move."

With that said he turned off the stove and began setting things up for the road, pouring the water out into the sink and setting the pot in as well while Orrin and Ardnathal began to argue in his head again, all unaware of a presence that watched them as they worked.
