Akemi x Lucas
The huge clock in Akemi's living room rung loudly, vibrating off the walls as it struck noon. The demon currently sat impatiently on the couch near the huge bay window that overlooked a field of wildflowers nearby. He had been planning this day for weeks, months, now. Now that it was finally here, he could hardly wait for these last few minutes to tick away for Akemi to return home.
The tea was prepared, the cakes were still warm and moist, the milk was rolling steadily against the sides of the small pitcher it had been poured in. All of the warm, beach scented candles he had lit were started to drizzle wax onto the saucers he placed them on. His nerves were shot. When would she finally arrive? Could shopping take that long for a girl? His teal colored orbs swiftly flitted to the clock again as he read the time and gave a groan.
"Akemi..." he growled under his breathe, "a bit of clothes shopping does not take this long..."
Lucas slumped back in his chair a bit, leg shaking furiously as he tried to bite down his nerves once more. Today was meant to be special, so how could she allow a bit of clothes get in the way of coming home? Coming to him...?
"I'm home, Lucas~!!" came the cheerful and harmonious voice of the girl Lucas adored more than anything, "I hope you weren't waiting for me lo-"
Lucas glanced up as Akemi stepped into her living room to see more than just her 'living room'. There were beautiful pink orchids sitting in a vase in the middle of her coffee table and the scent of ocean water clashing beautifully with the scent of fresh Earl Grey. The boy in question gave Akemi a bright smile as he offered her a seat and she took it speechlessly. Teacups, painted white with pink daisies and light green stems, sat on their matching saucers as steam from the hot liquid wafted out of the open top.
"Lucas, what is this?" she finally questioned, looking up at the demon.
He gave another bright smile, as if the first hadn't faded yet, "Obviously it's for you. What else could it be?"
Blinking, still a bit confused, Akemi shrugged as she looked down at the cakes, "Well, I am starving~!"
Lucas watched as she grabbed the cake closest to her, the one he knew she would grab, and took a bite before spitting the mouthful back into her hand and gasping.
"Like it?"
"Lucas, where-?"
"It's been passed down through my family. It was my great, great grandmother's," he whispered as he scooted closer to Akemi and gently plucked the ring out of the mess and cleaning it before slowly placing the object on Akemi's slim ring finger, "And now it's yours."
She stared down at the ring as the rather large diamond sparkled in the sunlight that gently melted into the living room.
"That is, if you'll have me."
Glancing back up at Lucas quickly, she gave a huge smile before jumping from her seat and tackling that demon as she muttered into his shoulder, "You idiot."
