I've tried a gun shoe before. It is super hard but you have the drive so I think you can do it. I'll tell you the easiest way to do it. Please keep in mind that your feet will most likely fall off after wearing these shoes for more then a couple hours. Not great con attire for the weak lol.
Please do not attempt this if you are not of proper age to handle the necessary tools/paints (if you're not old enough to buy spray paint then wait a few years to do this cosplay please)
Anywho....
Tools: Several Dollar Store/Cheap toy plastic guns At least 2 (more if you're clumsy like me) Spray Paint(What ever color you want to pant the guns) Thin heeled 5+inch high-heel shoes (stilettos preferred) Grinder (to hollow out inside of gun) Sand paper Hot-glue gun Hammer NONE sharp tool you can use to break your cheap gun in half Clear coat spray paint Or spray on resin (you can buy in mmost craft stores near paint and pastel supplies)
First step is to break your guns in half. Most cheap guns do this anyway after a few days of play. Use your grinder to weaken the glue/joining along the sides of the gun. You will want to be very careful not to hurt yourself for the following bit... Next step is to pry you gun in half along the middle so you have two equal sides of the same gun (meaning you have two halves now). This can be done by using a wedge and hammer to pry them apart.
Step two grind your guns hollow and a bit flatter so that they form around your shoe. if you make mistakes and cause a bug hole that's okay fill your hole with hot glue once it is on the shoe and use your grinder or sand paper to smooth it out.
Step three, spray paint your shoes! Make um pretty! You can either use one color or paint them all detailed like if youre a show off. Allow them to dry overnight (preferably in a warm spot like on top the fridge). Then spray them with clear coat (glossy) and repeat the drying process.
Hope that helped! and good luck. Honestly though the best advice I could give you is to just buy a pair that someone else made though. I made these once before and though they turned out great I will NEVER do it again.
