Balancer: Act I, Part 1
((This is based on a character I was making in an rp guild, and I don't know if the character was really denied or if someone jumped the gun on it since I was actually started (and trying) to listen to the crew in the guild, but I'm going to be writing him in more than just a profile, I'm going to use him as I planned to use him, though the plots of what he learns and will do are far different from the events of the guild, along with him clawing out of the depths of his insanity and becoming the character I intended him to become, becoming one that isn't of good or evil, understanding that a balance of both must be made and that the paths that are the options must be given to the people who they refer to. For him to become a guardian, a demon, a prophet, a madman, a protector, a destroyer, a raider, a defender, a balancer.))

Screams filled the halls of an abandoned building that resided outside of town as an empousa's fingers were cut off by a boy that looked no more than 19, but with a sinister smile and a look of bloodlust as he cut off the second finger slower than the previous one. "This can stop if you can give me the information I want." the boy spoke as his face changed completely, showing a stern look as he looked into the creatures eyes. "Tell me why you were picking up monsters as recruits, and I'll give you a quick death."

The empousa then spit onto his face before he sighed. "Ardnathal, continue." was all the boy said before his face changed back to the previous one he had, smirking as he finished cutting off the finger on the monsters left hand.

"The sad part though is how little they know on their situation, Connor." Ardnathal spoke as another version of the boy came out of him and looked at the creature, his eyes still their stern look. "Why don't you just kill her?"

"She said something about attacking our friends, so I want to know just how much information she's holding." The current figure of the boy spoke before he looked at a mirror that resided in the room that Ardnathal could see clearly, only showing him and no one else as they sat down in a chair that appeared, one half of a skull at the top, the other side with an angellic face that fit it. "You're free to kill her as you like after you take out the information, but that's only after we gain the knowledge we need, and it depends on the circumstances afterwards."

"It's so disrespectful, though." came a voice before another version of them appeared from the doorway as Ardnathal pulled out a lighter and lit it, holding the flame on the knife. "They may not be human but they still have emotions and feelings, we shouldn't do this kind of torment to them."

"If they talked instead of resisting our questions, then we wouldn't have to, but what she said seems far more dangerous than it should be, so we need to extract as much as we can from her, Orrin." Connor spoke as he looked at the boy that entered, making him sigh before he walked to another part and sat down in a chair that the armrests were shaped like wings. Ardnathal then smirked as he walked to the empousa, putting the lighter back into his pocket as his knife gleamed red from the heat coming off of it.

"So then, do your nerves work the same as cyclopes do when we shove a burning knife in cuts." Ardnathal asked as he grinned mercilessly, making the empousa look up at him in fear before he shoved the knife deep into one of the stubs the creatures fingers used to be, causing the screams to echo through the halls again, this time far worse than they originally were before Connor and Orrin were in another block of their mind, this one holding a circular table which Orrin and Connor were now sitting, a chair made of skulls on Connors left, and a map of America directly across from them.

"I know you don't think this is necessary, but that's because your honor won't let you become what Ardnathal is." Connor spoke as he looked at Orrin, who clenched his fists as he leaned onto the table. "I still have him on a leash just as much as I have you on one, but his desires are worse than yours, which is why I allow him to relieve them on monsters, seeing as they come back."

"I understand that, but what they said was wild speculation." Orrin spoke as he looked at Connor, his eyes just as stern. "An attack to destroy the power of both camps? How can they expect to do that to a nearly unstoppable alliance that's lasted for the past thirty years?"

"I don't know, and that's why we need to find out." Connor spoke as he stood from his chair and looked at the map, the locations of both camps beginning to shine in the picture, along with a third in the Panhandle region of Texas. "It was fifteen years ago that they made the first camp where both greek and Roman half bloods go to in Texas, and we've only known about this part of our world for six years. We can only guess that's where they're planning on attacking, given the defenses and strengths of the other two camps."

"But no one knows about it, it was made by the centaurs and believed to be a party pony checkpoint." Orrin spoke, causing a scene of them looking at a paper they took from a fallen monster to appear behind him as they both remembered what they read from it, seeing the empousa lying on the ground beside their past self unconscious.

"It's also the only idea we have, so until then we need to keep poking for information until we kill the monster." Connor spoke before Ardnathal appeared in the room sitting in the chair of skulls while looking at the two while his eyes showed a bit of shock.

"You'll want to hear this for yourselves." Ardnathal spoke, his voice not in its usual maniacal tone, making the other two look at each other in fear before the three vanished from the room and were in front of the empousa, arms now covered in cuts and burns, as Connor took over and looked at her sternly.

"Talk."
