Part 8

The fighting lasted for hours and hours. The Rahu troops kept pouring in as if there was no end to it all. There were about 130 players to begin with but numbers lowered down to about 70. Hundreds of Rahu where killed but still the players were greatly outnumbered.
Eventually all of the Pacific Battlefront players ran out of bullets and had to resort to hand to hand combat. This of course was a bad decision because the Rahu were extremely powerful creatures and pretty much slaughtered the players. The Rahu noticed the cease of fire and figured out that the players simply didn't have anymore ammo to attack with. The Rahu took advantage of this opportunity to take over the whole area.
It was about 6 in the afternoon when things started to get quiet. They stopped attacking, for now, and blocked off the gate so no one could escape. Most of the players ran to the buildings anyway. One of the Rahu stepped forward lowering his weapon glaring at the crowd of unarmed players and said in a very thick hissed accent.
"You are defeated. We control the base now. I am in charge. Any of you try to escape, you will be killed. Any of you try to attack, you will be killed. Any of you upset me, you will be-"
The head Rahu was cut off by a player yelling at the top of her lungs.
"Piss off you unwanted alien assholes!" She ran at him and punched him right square in the jaw. This got the other players riled up and ran towards the Rahu as well. However, the head Rahu quickly grabbed the player by the helmet ripping it off of her then wrapped his scaled arm around her neck taking out a small knife and holding it to her neck.
"One step, and she dies."
The players froze and the girl struggled in his grip. He brought the knife closer pressing it into her neck just enough to make her bleed. His secondary nostril opened taking in the girls emotion as his face stretched into a grin. "Humans, so haughty until they are about to die."
"Let me go!" the girl slammed her foot onto his, but he made no sign of pain. He only tightened his grip.
"Now all I smell is fear." the Rahu lowered his knife from her neck. "Let this be a lesson to never cross me." He raised his voice to the crowd and removed the chest plate from her armor revealing the skin tight suit. The girl felt the knife press into her ribs and struggled in his grip trying to pull away. The Rahu stared at the group as he cut deep just below her rib cage. She screamed as he dragged the knife making a bloody line across her ribs to her side. The Rahu stuck his long sharp nails into the wound, the girl shrieking in pain as he grabbed onto her rib and ripped it out of her body with a simple flex. The cries were ear piercing, many of the players looked away. The ground was stained with more blood as he reached his hand in one more time with a quick swoop. He cut his way through to her heart and ended her life by closing his fist.
The screaming finally stopped and the Rahu kicked her body away holding up his bloodied hand. "That is all."
Him and his troop fell back into the main building leaving fully armed Rahu to guard the entrance. The players were trapped. The clearing was filled with bodies and now everyone who saw that is scarred for life. No coming back from that.

Meanwhile, Toby, Basilisk, Rocky, and those few other players stayed in the fourth building. They saw the murder from there and weren't in the most stable states of minds right now.
"Holy ******** why didn't I look away." Basilisk trembled head down holding his helmet in his hands.
"Just calm down. Take off your helmet and get some fresh air. They are gone for now" Rocky said to him starting to get a bit annoyed with everyone.
"No! God dammit, now everyone is going to come to me to lead them again." Basilisk mumbled to himself. The others were crying, someone puked bile in the corner of the room. It just really wasn't a pretty sight. Basilisk stood up and walked away to give himself some space from all this.
Rocky sat there no longer knowing what to do and stared at his helmet gripping it tight in his hands. "Toby?" Rocky looked over at Toby who was sitting under a window hugging his legs. "You alright?"
"Y-yeah.. I'm fine. You?"
"I'll be aight."
Toby nodded and stood up sighing looking over at Basilisk. Basilisk really didn't turn out as cool as he is said to be. Toby turned around and looked out the window. The surviving players were in as bad of shape as them. One of them looked up and saw Toby and pointed him out then a small group of them ran into the fourth building. "Dammit." Toby quickly moved away from the window, "They saw me. People are coming."
Within two minutes the group of players climbed up to the third floor and into the room the others were staying in. "There he is." One of the players walked up to Basilisk. "Do you have a plan?" there was a tang of desperation in his voice.
Basilisk let out a long sigh then stood up straight. "According to the announcer there is food under the bridge. So we should probably get what we can find and ration the food for tonight."
"Right.. so then, shall we head to the bridge?"

They all started for the bridge and made it to the clearing. On the walk, Toby came up to Basilisk, "I swear I thought you were going to flip out on him or something."
Basilisk let out another sigh and made a light chuckle, "Me too actually... these people need a better leader. Someone with more experience and less fear"
Toby nodded then shrugged, "But, you seem to be doing alright. Going to be honest, you aren't the way me and Rocky expected you to be but you still got the job done."
"Yeah.. I just keep asking why this had to happen. Why us? Why me? What are the Rahu thinking. Oh and why hasn't anyone like the navy seals or whatever come and helped us yet? Ugh, none of this makes sense." Toby heard Basilisks voice break.
"W-well. We just need to stay strong." Toby nodded, "We've made it this far." Toby kept and eye on Basilisk who fell silent. Hng is he crying? Toby thought to himself then Basilisk spoke up.
"Thanks Tobias. Right.. just have to find the silver lining in all this.." Basilisk sort of mumbled to himself. They were now approaching the bridge and Basilisk stopped, scanning the area.
"Where did they even put the food?" One of the players asked. This bridge was small and concrete with a road running under it. There was a door on one side under the bridge.
"Maybe there." Basilisk ran toward the door and grabbed onto the knob. "Locked" He took a step back then raising his leg, let it bash down against the door knocking it off its hinges.
Toby caught up to Basilisk, everyone right behind him, and pulled the door out of the way. It was a small storage room jam packed full of cans and bottles. There was only water to drink, but no one complained. There were even pots and pans that came with camp fire instructions. There was a pile of logs for a fire in the back and even a few tents.
Eventually everything was getting set up and they took out as much food as they needed for that night. So there was still enough that could last a few more days. People were starting to take off their armor, cause who wants to sleep in heavy bulky armor? And someone came up and suggested that there should be a girl camp and a guy camp.
"Oh. Yeah totally. Of course. Girls over there guys over here." Basilisk pointed to the designate areas, the boys got the left side of the bridge and the girls got the right. Toby walked out of the storage room carrying a small pile of firewood. Despite everything, he was starving and couldn't wait to get this fire going. He had to walk back into the clearing then go right to be able to climb up a small flight of stairs then pass the parking structure to reach the boys camp. So he made his way into the clearing when he saw Basilisk heading to the left, towards the girls camp.
"Uh..Basilisk" Toby called out, but Basilisk didn't seem to hear him. Basilisk climbed up the flight of stairs leading to the door of the seventh building where the girls were staying.
Right then one of the girls walked out of the building. She was without her armor and even though her body was completely covered with the skin tight suit it was still pretty revealing. The girl gasped when she saw Basilisk. "What are you doing over here! This is the girls side." She ran over to Basilisk who started to fumble with his words.
"Oh, wh- I." She grabbed his arm suddenly twisting it, "********." Basilisk leaned over then she let him go pushing him away.
"Get out of here." The girl looked over and saw Toby glaring at him then suddenly turned around doing that little "Hmph" thing and walked back into the building.
Basilisk straightened himself up and face palmed turning around and seeing Toby. "Oh uh.. hey man. B-bitches, am I right?" Basilisk walked toward him and Toby gave him half a look of disapproval.
"Right. Come on." They both headed for the boys camp.
