"Hello?" A groggy voice spoke out into a phone. "Sass?! Are you still sleeping?! It's 1 o'clock in the afternoon!" The suppose Sass under her covers grumbled, "Good morning to you to mom," Sass sat up letting out a loud yawn. "Girly don't you dare sass me!" Sass pull the phone away feeling like her ears might fall off from all the yelling her mother was doing. "Mom! Take it easy will you! I was studying for a finals all right. I'll be taking my last two test today. One is at 3 the other is at 6, so stop your worrying and back off!" She roared. It was silent for a moment and then the silence was broken when she heard her father's voice, "Sassafras," Sass grumbled. *Why she have to bring dad into this! Damn it mom!* She continued to grumble. "Now stop yelling at your mom Sassafras--" He got interrupted. "Dad, please just call me Sass. Everyone does. Even mom! Look I'm sorry okay, but I need beauty sleep before heading to take my finals. Then afterwards I'll be packing my stuff and like I promised I'd be heading back to Miami for Summer break. My flight is not until tomorrow, so she needs to chill! Okay?!" She explained frustrated. Khan; Sass's father looked at Rey his wife, and explained. "Well, why couldn't she just told me?!" She argued back. Khan sighed. "You two need to seriously connect more, so when you guys get back have one of those mother daughter moments cause you two will be driving me insane!" The argument went for another 10 minutes until Sass excused herself and didn't even give them enough time to argue more. She hang up feeling so drained, and headed to the shower to get ready for her finals and her trip back to Florida; Miami. If there is a lord; she prayed, please make my Summer break unforgettable and not dull!
After that she headed to school and took her last two test and they went like a breeze. She headed to the cafeteria with her girl friends and they were chatting about their plans for Summer break. "Huh?! Miami!? Are you serious!? Your so lucky!" One of them said excited for her. Sass laughed and grumbled under her breath, "The only bad thing about it is that I'll be staying with my parent's. Since I didn't go down to Miami the last two breaks they made me promise for Summer break. I did, but I thought I could sly from it, but it ain't going to happen, so tomorrow morning I'm off to Miami," She said to them. "Well, don't look at it like the glass is half empty; look at it as half full. I mean you in Miami! Beaches! Boys! I'm assuming they'd want you to have fun as well right~ Well, go to the beach, scout boys! And you better take pictures!" She said excitedly. Well, that Mandy for you. She crazed boy fanatic! Sass laughed. "All right, I got it. Anyways girls I have to get going. Still have a few things to pack before my flight tomorrow. You girls have fun," She said to them as she headed back to her dorm.
Soon enough when she was back she made sure she didn't forget anything and began to closed her luggage. "I think I got everything. Tickets in my purse, passport, driver's license, cash, my check book [like I need it], credit cards, hand lotion, tooth brush, brush, some make up...uh I think that's all. Better head to bed and get some rest," She put her alarm clock and hit the hay.
The next morning the alarm clock began to ring as if it was screaming at her, "GET UP! GET UP!" And she could swear she was hearing her mother's voice which made her jump off bed. She looked at the clock and her eyes widen. "O s**t! I'M LATE!" She rushed getting dressed and putting on her shoes. She called a Taxi and made sure every door and window was closed. She made sure all the electricity was turned off or disconnected. She had woken up one of her friends from across the dorms to help her take her things downstairs. The last thing she grabbed was her purse, her other bag with her laptop and her keys to lock up. Soon after she got her thing in the Taxi and headed to the airport. It was a complete mess! "Ugh! Damn alarm clock! She had send a text to her parent's that she was already heading to the airport, and that she'd see them soon.
Finally, with all the trouble getting the luggage checked and putting tags and going through being checked herself which she glared at the officer if he tried anything and touch her in the wrong way. Finally, she was in the airplane heading to Miami. "Thank the lord!
