Crystal Shards are the shards of the 4 Elemental stals they range in size from the smallest being the size of a tennis ball to the largest being 10 stories tall the 4 Elemental Crystals were sentient each having a soul but then the 4 Elemental Crystal were shattered into the many Crystal Shards each Crystal Shard gain a soul and became sentient except for one Shard from each Elemental Crystal the largest Shard of each Elemental Crystal contained the Original Soul of that Elemental Crystal
Each Crystal Shard varies in personality some being quite different from the Original Soul but none are evil or overly mean as the purity of the Crystal Shards attracted good souls unfortunatly some Crystal Shards long to be whole again and will force their power on the holder corrupting them and some Crystal Shards have been corrupted themselves by some means or another usually a intense amount of negivitive emotion
Because the Crystal Shards are pieces of a bigger Crystal most Crystal Shards cannot fully control their power which is why People and Monsters are able to use the Shards power also sometimes a Crystal Shard that can't control its power very well may effect the enviroment around it sometimes in a good way sometimes in a not so good way
Some Crystal Shards became Corrupted by others sadness and anger or their own because of how they were used durring the Great Wars but some Crystal Shards have good control over their power and has gone into a state of dormancy so nobody can use their power
There are three types of Crystal Shards which are Dormant, Regular, and Active
Dormant: Dormant Crystal Shards as explained above are ones that have their power on lockdown and are asleep these are easily mistaken for common Crystal
Regular: Regular Crystal Shards are the most common ones they can't keep others from using their power but they don't force it on others either they can and are mistaken for common Crystal which can cause alot of problems if the holder figures out what it is or uses it on accident which can happen if the person is in danger and reaches or calls for help the person will unintentionally reach for the Crystal Shards power even if they didn't know it was there and will become Crystal Corrupted
Active: Active Crystal Shards are ones that force their power on others intentionally Corrupting the person or monster so that they will gather more Shards these Shards don't really mean any harm but are blinded by their desire to be whole again and don't care who gets hurt to accomplish it and will even on rare occations go so far as to whisper in the Corrupted persons mind and encourage them to collect more Shards
Crystal Corruption
Because of the great power contained within the Crystal Shards people and monsters who use the Crystal Shards power become Crystal Corrupted when a person or monster is Crystal Corrupted they become consumed by a overwhelming desire to have more shards to have more power and collect more shards even people who have no desire at all for the Crystals power will feel this desire they no longer see their friends and family or people they know they only see a person who does or doesn't have a Crystal Shard and if the person does they will do their best to get the Shard from them even KOing the person and putting them in a Death Coma also when Crystal Corrupted they can sense other Crystal Shards that are nearby
Now how exactly a Crystal Shards Crystal Corruption effects someone depends on the Crystal Shard there is 3 types of Crystal Corruption which are Which are Regular, Berserk, and Controled
Regular: Regular Crystal Corruption is where when the person is Corrupted they gain the longing the overwhelming desire to collect more Crystal Shards and will KO any who has one and refuses to give it to them even friends and family however they will often tell the holder of the Shard to give it to them first if they do not then they attack when not around a Crystal Shard they don't have the Corrupted person will not be themselves and will travel around looking for more Shards dropping everything they have to do it
Berserker: Berserk Crystal Corruption is where the person is so consumed with the overwhelming desire to collect more Crystal Shards they don't ask they just attack like a person who's berserked when not near a Crystal Shard they do not have they are little more then Monsters not speaking and roaming around the lands aimlessly searching for more Crystal Shards attacking any who possess one with a blind fierocity the only time they my seem like themselves even alittle is when they need food but only then and Monsters are even worse
Controled: Controled Crystal Corruption is by far the most dangerous as the person still has the overwhelming desire to collect more Crystal Shards but are more in control of themselves to a degree they become like a darker version of themselves and become cunning and merciless all of the leaders of the Corrupt Nations durring the Great Wars were Corrupted with this type of Crystal Corruption when they are after a Crystal Shard they will try to buy or bribe or steal or even hire a person to attack the other just to get it but they rarely soil there own hands despite the power they have and use manipluation and trickery to get the desired Shard when not around a Shard they do not have they are always on the look out for another Shard and travel around searching for another
People who are Crystal Corrupted can be freed from the Corruption theres two main ways of doing this the first depends on the size of the Crystal Shard if its small enough to be carried then one simply has to get the Shard away from them but this can be difficult however because the Corrupted person will guard the Crystal Shard fiercely they may also have it in there possession but not nessisarily in there hand they may have it in a pocket or in a bag or by a string around their neck or something also if its a Active Crystal Shard if someone else touches the Crystal Shard and takes it away from the Corrupted person then the new holder will become Crystal Corrupted now if the Crystal Shard is too big to hold or store on their person then the person when they use the Crystal Shards power they will have a link with the Crystal Shard in which the only way to free them is to use the second way which is to put the person into a Death Coma this will completely break the link with the Crystal Shard freeing them its as effective as simply knocking it out of their hand which this way can be used with smaller Crystal Shards to because when Ko'd the person will either drop the Shard or allow for someone to safely take it away but this way is very hard though as the power the person gets from the Crystal Shard makes them very hard to KO and the bigger the shard the more people the person gets
