Notes on case #2
i should have seen some stuff. i should have been smart and saw that it was a hacker and not my friend. sad but because i was hacked i had proof to show people and i could save people from my friends old account and my old account.
So here are some tips.
1. if u see a gaia friend with know items on. Ask why.
if some hacker took them over the hacker would take items. and at some point it would take all the items.
2. if u get a Link for a free item only use it if the address is gaiaonline.com/.......
Any off site gold or items free or not will get u band if they work. and if they don't
then it is a hack. But here is one trick.
use FireFox internet viewer for gaia and keep some other viewer open to Look at Links. Copy and past the address and well if it is a hack then the cookies it will track are not the Longs of your name and password.
3. if some one tells u they have Lost of gold or some cool item ask them to show you it. Say put on the item or say use some gold to buy a big item. and so on.
Fined proof. it will bug them.
4. if u get hacked bug your old account.
i did comments and PMs and a trade req and invites to games and every thing i could think of. i meen it is / was your account it can't hert or report u as Long as u report that u got hacked first.
5. Keep a Log in a file on your PC of stuff u need to save. ie your password or a friends cell # or some ones email. don't save stuff Like that in your gaia.
if u get hacked a hacker can see any thing in your account.
6. Keep 2 accounts if u can. it is more gold and more space in your gaia shop + if u get hacked u can report it fast and act fast. Then u will not 4get how it happened.
7. an admin that helps run gaia and keep it safe has a green name. They can help but they have a job to do, so try not to bug them, keep it short and only send if u need to and whait for a reply........
By the way. My friend got back her old account too. And an item she Lost came back some time after. biggrin
