Sky's Journal
A story of suspense, romantics, and action all rolled into one!
# 2
Food... That's all she can think about as she hops through a cobble stoned stream separating the dead quiet night woods and the equally quiet string of empty looking business buildings. Her stomach flops on two fronts, it's too damn quiet, and she hasn't seen a single being in over a day. Stepping lightly onto a lawn dead and full of crunchy leaves she tries to be as invisible as the star that once was her home. If she were on her planet, she wouldn't have to run and hide in the dark slums of the old ways of life. Everything is so different now...
'What? Was that a noise?' she asks herself. There's stillness, nothing, not even the wind. 'You're hungry, tired, and hormonally challenged. You're just doing what you have been doing for almost 15 years. Just another s**t building in a s**t little city.'
The red haired girl silently pep talks herself as she breaks into the pile of rubble at the west end of the building. This side of the building is nothing but rubble, she works little by little into the belly. She finally happens upon an unlocked door that has no security by the looks of it. 'Okay, here goes nothing,' she crosses her fingers opening the door slow and quiet. Peeking through the space she's made, it looks clear and empty. One way to be sure is to move. She finally does, but all of this seemed way too easy. How many nice wings like this side are left unattended and weak?
'Should have waited til daylight...' she breathes but it doesn't help, she just keeps one hand out-stretched and the other is resting on the hilt of her hunting knife behind her. She just crab walks little by little. Holy s**t, there's a fridge, a sink, and a jacket sitting in this little lounge. She could slip in, clean up, eat, and bug out with a new jacket. Shouldn't dilly dally about it, either.
She makes four excited steps towards the sink unguarded and unsuspecting. A huge force slams her cheek bone first into the fridge. [********].
"Lemak," the snake slithers in her ear. She recognizes the voice and knows the the body that is crushing her hard into the door.
"T-Tex," she sputters out though his fingers have part of her bottom lip in his hold.
Tex is one of the many races that live here on the new world, Rahloinya(see below). He stands 6'2, weighs accordingly with extra muscle, has long jet black hair, and his features are that of a pale white snake. Even his eyes are pulled into a serpent like slant. They are both dangerous and hungry.
"You're so deductive, Princess," his long tongue licks up her neck and cheek making her want to gag.
"Who hired you, Tex?" She spits. He's a bounty hunter, an expensive one at that.
He releases her face but replaces his hand around the long copper braid at Lemak's neck. Not good. Her head and back are yanked in a disarming tweak as she starts to feel the pain spiraling up and down her spine.
She can see Tex is wearing a all blood red outfit with the exception of his white tie. 'Pptf... Who does she think he is?'
"You know exactly who hired me, just think about the last place you were. It should come back to you," his slime voice cuts off as he bends down, bending Lemak's back right along with him, to lay cold kisses around her neck.
"Tex, Bardo would kill you if you touched me, you know that?" it's weak, but it's her only shot.
He stops and in one swift move, he turns her in his arms, wraps the braid around her neck, and pins both of her hands right in the apex of his thighs. Great...
