Day 17, Traveling Alone
The loneliness sinks in quickly
It's only been a day
The pain of my heart grows sickeningly
But this was the only way
There are still so many days ahead
But it already feels like it's has been an eternity
This is what I always dread
And it's what you asked of me
I must go along to a far off place
Willing, though I am, I am scared
It's the only way to see your face
The one for whom I have always cared
Soon this will be unnecessary
A bad memory of the past
It doesn't make it any less scary
So I better get there fast
To see you and feel your touch
I would go a million miles alone
For the one I love so much
My fear, I will own
