After a few minutes, Chris finds a stream and a water fountain not far ahead of us. Ada's still resting her head against me, eyes closed. When we reach the water, I lay her down. After pulling her hands off of me, I take off my jacket and put it under her head. She mumbles my name, but is far from being awake. Chris and Piers have small bottles that they fill with water. Piers gives me his bottle for Ada,"Make her sip the water first. Here are some berries for you too."
I take the water and berries and thank him. He nods and goes over to the others who are drinking water and eating berries. I lightly shake Ada who looks more pale and weaker than she had earlier. She wakes up and in a weary voice says my name. I slowly lift her,"We found water."
I make her sip it, then give her the bottle. This only lasts a moment because she's shaky. I go back to giving her the water and I make her eat berries. I lay her down and fill the water while Sherry checks on her. Piers looks at my back, but concludes that putting water wouldn't really do much at this point if it doesn't even hurt me anymore.
