OOO Allie walked through the cemetery thinking about her mother. She wished she'd been able to spend some more time with her before she'd died. But she was the one who cut the ties between the two. The fight was stupid. Allie should have known that asking her mother to quit working with the Teen Titans because she was endangering her life, would have ended like it did. She wouldn't have left them. They'd been friends for so many years. She wasn't going to just walk away because her daughter asked her too. No matter how much it mattered to Allie.
OOO She reached the lone tombstone under the tree and clenched the flowers in her hand tighter.

Mother, Daughter, Friend, and Fighter
OOO The words etched on the stone were surrounded by vines. How the vines grew over the stone that quickly, Allie didn't know. But she liked the look. It was fitting of her mother, and probably caused by her in someway.
OOO She sat down in the grass, holding the flowers in her hands. "Hi mom," she said aloud. "Sorry I haven't visited in a while. Been really bogged down with school work. And you'd be proud of me. I've been practicing with my powers." She sighed deeply and pushed her hair in her eyes behind her ears. "There was a shooting at school last month. Two of my classmates died. It really scared me mom." A lump was welling in her throat. "I want to be able to use my powers to help people if anything like that happens again."
OOO Suddenly, her phone chirped in her pocket. She pulled it out and checked who was calling.
Blocked Number
OOO Hmm, she thought, then answered it. "Hello?"
OOO "Allie. Hello. You don't know me but I know you. I was friends with your mother. You can call me Nightwing."
