in the symphonic band at my school, I'm the section leader for French Horns, and there are 4 other players, other than me. The second chair horn player is my friend. The other three aren't really my friends.
So, there were some younger horn players in one of the offices in the room. One was good(at least I think, it's just an estimate- I didn't know how many were in the office) and the other ones were out of tune and a liiiiittle bit late.
I whispered to my friend, "Some of the horn players in the office are out of tune and a bit late."
Then she was like "Yeah, it's like this section. You and me are the good players, and the other three are bad."



I couldn't believe what she was saying.
And the 3rd chair horn player was RIGHT THERE, listening to what my friend said.
I was so mad at her.
I told her that what she said was really mean and that she should apologize immediately, but all she said was shut up shut up shut up shut up.
I told her that she's being immature.
Then she said that I had said the same exact thing that she was saying yesterday.

I facepalmed.

Then I told her that what I was saying was that EVERYONE(including me) needed to work on our playing skills a bit more, not that the other 3 players sucked.
She continued to just say shut up.


She just insulted more than half of the section I'm responsible for, and she treats this like a joke. stressed

She still hasn't apologized. evil
