King John lived in a large dark gray stone castle that stood on top of a hill; his only child sat at her bedroom bay window. Her bedroom bay window over looked the healthy colorful forest and the nearby village her father ruled. The village was filled of all sorts of different people; some lived well off as others had to beg and fight for their next meal. Scarlet had always worried about the village; she felt their sadness and fear, but no matter how she felt her father the king had always made it clear that she was not to worry about such things. She was a child; and because of that she was to do child like things and to not think like an adult.
Even though Scarlet was twenty-one her father didn’t seems to care or notice. In his green eyes Scarlet was still his little girl. Not too many people seemed to notice Scarlet, outside of social gathering that were in the King or Queen favor. Scarlet felt like a shadow around both her parents. She felt like she was just another pretty face that was left UN notice.

Feeling tried and slightly depress she crawled into bed. Pulling her thick royal red bed sheets over her body she then felled into a deep and peaceful sleep.

Scarlet got woken up by the bright morning sun shining that came from her bedroom bay window.
Scarlet sat up on her bed holding one of her many pillows to her face trying to block out the sun from shinning in her eye.
“Miss Scarlet your morning tea and biscuit is ready; waiting on the back deck.”

Scarlet sat in the back yard on one of the black iron chairs. The glass iron table in front of her hold her tea pot and some fresh homemade raspberry jam and hot biscuits.
Scarlet closet her eyes feeling the warm morning braze on her face; listening to the bird sing she sip on her tea enjoying the beautiful morning. Placing her tea up down on the cream gold china plate. Picking up a fresh biscuit she pulled it open she then took her Stirling silver knife she dip it into the jam jar spreading the raspberry jam on the biscuit, putting the knife back into the jar she then took a small nibble from her biscuit. Eating it slowly till it was gone. Picking up her white cloth napkin she whip the jam off her face as she pick up her tea cup, finishing off her English tea.

The hot summer morning sun beamed down on Scarlet making her feel over heated and frustrated. Annoyed she pulled herself up, moving up from the black iron chair she sat on to have her morning tea and biscuit. Turning around she then headed towards the red barn that stood in the shade of tall bright healthy green oak trees. About to turn the corner to head into the barn doors Scarlet over heard her mother fighting with one of the barn slaves.
“I don’t pay you to think, I pay you to do.”
Queen Ann voice rose from normal to mad; her voice seem to over powering the man. Making the male barn slave feel belittled and slightly worthless. Queen Ann shoved a cream tone envelope and a small deep purple coin bag into the tall 6ft tall deep tan skin man; He look at the Queen through his long salt and pepper hair .
“But My Lady; I was asked to clean out the horse’s stalls this morning.”
The man spoke back to the queen; annoyed at her for disturbing his work, He push the pitch fork he hold into the hay stack ; after doing so he then whipped his dirty hands on his rip pants he took both the pouch and the Envelope.
