Things are getting heated between the The Von Helson house and the kuro Gang! Who will win this fued? You guys will be deciding in the event! Just so everyone is aware GCash will be playing an optional part in the event. We did this once a couple of years back with the Overseer Vs. Sentinel event where you could buy followers for a few gcash. The event will feature something similar where you can spend a very small amount of GCash to make some things a tad easier.

Trick or Treating will be happening in the shops as usual. The shopkeepers will be decked out in all new costumes and dare I say they are awesome!

Some general updates you guys will be interested in…

Daily Chance
After much deliberation we are going to proceed with adding ads to daily chance. I know that sucks, but we wouldn’t be doing it if we didn’t feel it would be worthwhile for us in the long run. You guys may have noticed there aren’t too many sponsorships these days, the industry in general has moved away from advertising on sites like ours. The ad size will be about the same as the one on the avatar save page. They will be static ads (non-videos) and for funders or situations where there is no ad inventory to display, we’ll show some of the featured avatar submissions to give more visibility to those who take the time to gussy up. smile

zOMG!
Many people are requesting we activate the Halloween event in zOMG! We would love to but it will require we train someone on how to do it and I'm not confident we'll have the time to do so. I do want everyone to know however that we aren't ignoring the feedback we've been seeing on this.

Games
So how about that Heralds of Chaos!!! It's out and personally I love it. In my last journal I said "...Near the end of the year we plan to have some new games for you." I just wanted to say HoC and Gaia Interactive’s other social games were not the games I was referring to. ;P

Alchemy
Haven’t forgotten!!! We’re working on a detailed production outline of what we want to do with it so that we can get started on asset production for the changes.

Towns 2
Codemonkey3717 is still hard at work on this. The last version I saw you could visit Rally and Virtual Hollywood all within the Towns 2 space. biggrin

…So there you have it, the major projects that have our attention. In my new role I’m spending a great deal of time planning out projects and making sure deadlines are being met, so sadly I haven’t been able to get to my events landing page (you know, from that thread sitting in SF that’s been there for like.. ever now). I hope however once all my planning is more complete I’ll be able to get back to it …maybe even integrate it into the new Towns 2 o.O

Oh and what took you guys so long to find those hidden event forums? They’ve been there for over a week. Disappoint Gaia, disappoint.
