xx❤ ▐░ Before the journey Before or after I died? Before, I was a pretty handsome boy, and I was smiled upon by Dionysus, who seemed to always bless me with gifts like drink and a few really great parties. When it comes to the gods, however, we humans (well, those humans, I'm not really one anymore.) are their playthings, and when one god gets jealous of another, they tend to take it out on us.
Hades and Poseidon seemed to rather pissed off at Dionysus, and as soon as they figured out I was one of his favorites, well, things went downhill real fast. Poseidon flooded my village and forced me to move to Thebes, where I was homeless and destitute, then Hades decided to send a "tiny" famine throughout Thebes and make me starve to death. Eventually, I died, though not to their hatred for Dionysus, but more of Dionysus' love for a good party. After the initial famine and flooding went away, I went back to my village, and we all rebuilt it, then we partied and partied until I got so drunk I died by falling on a pole and impaling myself.
I rose again as a formless shade, but once again, I was blessed with being able to give myself a form and a sort of consciousness that wasn't about hating everything and being all spiteful of the living, but with those gifts, the gift of my courage and of being able to be permanently invisible kind of dissipated. I'm a spineless coward, and I'm easy to spook, which is quite ironic for someone such as me. One day, while taking a stroll in the fields outside of Athens, my freedom was snatched away from me by Hades himself, who was kind of upset one of his shades was out of line. Since another god shined his liking upon me, Hades could no nothing to me directly, so he sent a pack of slavers after me, and since then, well, either I'm in someone's service, or I'm busy running away from them.
