Life in the orphanage.
Kiyo was raised in a catholic orphanage run by Father Anderson just out side of Vatican city. She knows nothing of her parents or how she came to live in an orpange Italy. When she asked the nuns the stock story was that they found her in a bundled up in a basket at the gate with a note that said “Her name is Kiyo. When she is old enough to understand tell her that I’m sorry.” However little details of the story tended to change from nun to nun causing her to believe the nuns are lying for reasons unknown to her. Important information such as her real birthday, and last name were also unknown.
Her unknown origins never really bothered her; after a certain age she simply stopped thinking about it. Over the years she became very attached to a nun named Heinkel Wolfe. She’s simply in awe the woman, whenever Heinkel returned to the orphanage Kiyo was always at her side. Heinkel was her idol, she looked up to her, Heinkel was everything Kiyo wanted to be one day.
When Heinkel was out on missions Kiyo spent her time with a Akira, a fellow orphan. Akira was her only friend in the orphanage, yet another person she grew attached to. Over the years the years two became as close as sisters. When Yumiko adopted Akira and took her away from the orphanage Kiyo begged Heinkel to adopt her so she could leave the orphanage to. Heinkel had said no before Kiyo could even finish asking the question. Heinkel simply didn’t want a daughter and her work with the Iscariot always kept her traveling so she wouldn’t have been able to properly care for Kiyo.
This didn’t stop Kiyo. She continued to badger Heinkel until she finally wore her down. In the end Heinkel still didn’t adopt her, however she did make Kiyo an offer. She would take her on as an apprentice and train her to become an assassin. As a condition of this Kiyo had to become a nun and when she was ready she had to become an assassin agent for the Iscariot organization. Kiyo gladly accepted the offer.
Life outside the orphanage
Training with Heinkel proved to be less glamorous then Kiyo thought it would be. She was exposed to a side of Heinkel that she had never seen before. It took Kiyo some time to get used to the calculated calm level-headed killer side of her idol.
The training is non stop and rigorous, she barely has free time and the only time she sees Akira is when she was either helping Heinkel with a mission, or when Heinkel sends her on errands. Since Father Anderson started helping Hellsing, Heinkel has been passing the assignments she didn’t want to do down to Kiyo. Anything involving Hellsing soon became Kiyo issue. Her main assignment was “babysitting” Hikari and Aoi Hellsing and keeping them out of trouble. Its an impossible task and Kiyo hates doing it. After Aoi ran away and tried to join The Millennium, Hikari became her sole charge. It took sometime but Kiyo is at the point where she accepts Hikari as a person. They don’t always get along but there are rare times when Kiyo actually enjoys Hikari’s company.

She fights with a two pistols.
Her primary weapon is the same as her mentors. A modified .05 Desert Eagle semi-automatic pistol.
