Alright, so Ethereal Cross starts up yet again. It's in a universe extremely similar to that of Wave: Endemic's. There are slight differences in the characters used. Think of it as though history was changed to produce very small differences. Gonna get right into the origins.

"One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Five worlds."
...
"One. Two. Three. Four. Four. Four siblings of the spirit."
...
"One. Two. Three. Three prongs on a cross."
...
"Four siblings of spirit; the hosts of a sacred-blooded kin of the Paradox. Eternally cursed by the dismal wind of Darkness, these beings were split apart into entities untold, no longer retaining the mighty powers necessary to reside in the celestial Paradox. Traveling across space and time, Darkness surveyed the souls which hindered their domination across the multiverse. It seemed there was no hope for the souls whatsoever..."
...
"One. Two. Three. Three quadrillion years."
...
"For what could have been labeled an eternity, the poor souls found no refuge, no haven. They were separated throughout universes. Their power was insignificant, and Darkness appeared to be the perpetual victor of this endless war; this endless search for sanctuary, so that they may rise again to instigate the counterbalance against the ever-encroaching Darkness. It seemed they were damned to infinity."
...
"One. Two. Three. Four. Four sacred entities split into five. Twenty wandering souls."
...
"Finally, after a nigh incalculable length of time, the sacred spirits coalesced within a universe untainted by the ghoulish hands of Darkness. Although they had become far frailer than they would have ever believed imaginable, they found their temporary sanctuary. Despite existing within a shared universe, they could only regain their still-dwindling power with direct contact. And light years stood between each of them. They were left no choice but to settle upon unique planets..."
...
"One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Five worlds which the spirits made their home."

"The sacred souls descended from their almighty height. Little were they significant. So little, in fact, that they had reached their final, weakest form. They were inanimate. Thus, they faded within the soil of five different worlds, only to be identified as a peculiar design in the earth..."
...
"Perhaps they could rest eternally in peace. Or perhaps they could be given a second chance. It would have only taken one being to harness the sacred entity, should that being happened to have stumbled across the ancient, buried symbol. Perhaps the human spirit would have been the secret ingredient--the necessary catalyst--to reignite the cause of a cosmic kindred. Only then would their paths cross once again. Only then would they be able to face the demons encircling their presence. Spontaneous eruption from slumber would thus invoke their uprising. Surely they would come together in an ethereal cross."
...
"Lest Darkness was to annihilate their own very sanctuary..."

Cruce: [His eyes shoot open, as he is laying in bed. He remains on his back, simply gazing at the ceiling.] ... Huh... [He turns to his side, closing his eyes and gently pushing his fingers into them to clear them out.] (Who keeps telling me all of this? ...'Would be nice if I was actually conscious. I feel like I'm missing something important... Ah whatever.) [Paying it no heed, he sits up, rubbing the back of his head as he observes the digital clock upon his nightstand. It is only 6:00 AM in the quiet town of Autumnridge...]

My name is Cruce Maximilius. I'm a Sophomore at Metedia High, located in our nice little town here called Autumnridge. I was born and raised here. So yeah, I don't travel very much, but I've always loved this area. Practically everyone knows one another. We're a really tight community, so a lot of people have well-known acquaintances and friends and the like. I'm not sure what it is that draws us to this town. There've been a helping of theories that point at the central woodland. It's a strange place. I know. I hang out there with my friends after school every day. In fact, the name of that group of friends was inspired by one of the most alluring sites of all, which has been given the title the Obsidian Circle. So no, we're not the Obsidian Crew or whatever. We're the Circle... Well I'm not too sure why all of this is on my mind. I suppose it's a big part of who we are: isolated from the rest of the state of California and drawn to things such as that woodland. It's sure inspired me. When I get all the necessary experience, I'd like to become an archaeologist; to uncover worlds of the past and make sense of why things are the way they are here. And everywhere. To make connections and solve the unsolvable. Maybe there are some things best left unanswered... but... Puzzles are my passion.

Cruce Maximilius. 16. Autumnridge. America.

"It's only Wednesday. Gonna be a bit longer 'till I have some peace of mind."

Off to a slow start. You can probably tell this EC and the previous EC are going to look a lot alike. Don't be fooled, they're super super different. For now, this is still the Saga, so we're going to be looking at Cruce's personal life for a bit.
