Mabon. How to describe Mabon? He's the favourite, of course, gets away with much more than the rest of us, skipping rehearsals, talking back to instructors, things the rest of us would never dare.
I think this is because he was taken as a repayment of a debt owed in the exact opposite manner as I was. This has never been confirmed, but the rumour is, his father did our Lord a good deed, and died before it could be repaid, so his son was taken to be raised in Faerie, the safest place possible.
Mabon is bold, but also a prodigy, more than the rest of us. Any instrument you put into his hand, he will play. He need only hear a song once to play it back. For him, this is the greatest test.
Mabon is... sometimes a bit scatterbrained. He's nearsighted, and his hair is golden, so the glint of his spectacles matches, if oddly. If he doesn't have a task, he roams about aimlessly. His markings are even more abstract than mine, and cover face and chest alike. What that means for his role.... I cannot say. He seems content to play music, dance when someone lacks a partner, and be a courteous escort to guests.
His name means Son. Perhaps this is an indicator.
Mabon is the most like the Sidhe of all of us. I do not think he feels emotions the same way we do. They seem a fancy to him, a game. His genius in song is in adapting, not creating. And he never seems to have a thought for the well being of others.
Theron will warn you he brings you into danger, Rhian will gleefully lead you to your doom, but Mabon, it will never enter into his head that you might take harm, or that a warning would be appropriate. He'd never hurt you on purpose, as far as I know.
Perhaps this isn't so. Perhaps he plays a deeper game than any know.
Be wary.
