Both Bryan and Maria looked toward the front door. A green piece of paper had been slipped underneath it. They could hear more being slipped under the neighbors' doors.
Bryan pushed his chair back but Maria waved him off. "I got it, I got it. Sit down. Eat. Relax."
She got up and retrieved the piece of paper, flipping it over finding nothing on the back. She read the paper on her way back to the kitchen.

"What's it say?" Bryan asked as he ate more of his slice of cake.
"It's an advertisement for a local club. Looks like ladies get in for free until midnight. Lots of fun music and lights....Half price drinks...Cool stuff given away for good dancers...All happening this Friday. Sounds like fun. Wanna go?"
I can't dance.... "Yeah sounds great," Bryan replied. Oh boy...I'm going to embarass myself...
Maria stuck the paper on the fridge and the two finished their cake.

"So what do you got planned for tonight Mr. Tech Guy?"
"Oh...I don't know." Bryan plopped on the couch next to her, happy to have a full belly. "Man that was good."
Maria smiled. "Hmm....."
"We can just watch a movie if you want."
"Yeah let's do that. What movies do you have?"
"All those in the cabinet," he said pointing next to the TV.

Maria hopped up and opened the cabinet. "Hmm hmm hmm," she hummed as she scanned his collection. she wiggled back and forth a little, not knowing that Bryan was watching her figure.
How'd I get so lucky to have a hottie like this? He bit his lip a little, quickly averting his eyes when she came back with one.
"How's this?" She held up Sleepy Hollow.
"Perfect."
Maria smiled and put the DVD in the machine. She rejoined him on the sofa. He smiled back at her and pushed play. She rested her head on his shoulder.
"You okay?" she asked.
"Yeah, why?"
"Your heart's beating fast."
"Oh...I--I'm fine, don't worry."
Maria giggled and shrugged it off. Her heart was a flutter too and her cheeks red. Bryan let out a silent breath and casually rested his arm on the back of the couch, just barely brushing her back.
