In 1980 the breed was completely familiar by the AKC. Most felicitous in broad open spaces, Australian cattle dog are very high-powered dogs & very well-informed, so they require a task like as herding, respect or dexterity so as to keep them felicitous. Whereas cautious of strangers, the breed bonds intimately to its family, although the proprietor must demonstrate themselves as the pack leader. Their smooth, small coat demands merely occasional baths & brushing.

The Australian cattle dog, as well recognized as the Australian Heeler, Blue Heeler and the Queensland Heeler, is an audacious, hardworking, healthy, compact working dog. The dog is quick and influential as when they are working. Their body length id is a bit longer than the tail. However, the tail is held somewhat low hanging in curve.

Moreover, the ears are wide-set, modest in size, & pricked up when vigilant. The nose of this breed is black. The dark brown, mid-size eyes are oval in shape. Australian cattle dog front legs are straight, muscular, round bone, reaching the feet. The feet are round plus the toes are small. The skull is wide is somewhat curved within the ears, flattening out to a slight however exact stop. Coat colors contain red spotted, blue, blue-mottled or blue speckled with or without other marks. These dogs live for average of 12 to 15 years.
