I think I've mentioned before that I'm using my daughter's library account as well as my own, in order to get at least 2 hours of computer time a day.

I want to further explain that.

Mon thru Wed I usually get online t 10 am, and at the Thousand Palms library, there is usually no one waiting to use the computer, so I can potentially get as much as two hours time. Then in the evening, I usually log on at 615 in Palm Desert. If no one is wanting to use the computer for the final 40 minutes, I am usually on til about 755.

Thursday morning is the day I go to Indio to use the computer for job searching at the WDC. Then I am on that evening in Palm Desert.

Friday, the library is open only from 10 - 5. Saturday the same, and Sunday only 1-5.

Obviously some of my time is used for job searching and applications, but if there aren't any new jobs listed I come to Gaia.

Those libraries, and most of the Coachella libraries, are part of the Riverside County system. However, there is one city library, in Rancho Mirage, that is a seperate system. So theoretically I cna go there for yet another hour. I don't do this every day tho - gas is too expensive and it uses one gallon to go there and back.

But I will try to go there on Friday, because unlike PD, they are open til 6 pm on Friday, so I can at least attend part of the mav meet.

Now, given this info, if someone wantd to arrange a crew for thursday evening ( because having done a very thorough job search in the morning I cna devote that time entirely to Gaia) I could play zomg for an hour and half or so - at least usually. And if it's prearranged, there would be none of this wasted time trying to find a crew. xd

As for the gas prices, they have skyrocketed, and may curtail some of my computer time. Todays price is 4.09.9. When I first moved into my car a little over 6 weeks ago, the price was 3.58.9. That's an astonishing increase, and about 26 cents of it has been in the last 4 days! they say it will hit $5 by summer...

This week I have applied for 9 jobs. So far I haven't heard from any of them, except for those automated emails saying they received my application.

Stupid economy. mad
