Bio: Axel was your average guy. A happy fun loving person with flaws like everyone else. He was attending college for a degree in creative arts, utilizing both his writing and drawing skills. The year before he had lost his job and had been having a horrible time trying to find another one, but to no avail. One day while flipping through the classifieds in the paper, he came across a help wanted ad. A labratory needed a willing subject for testing drugs in a study. Intruiged by it, he went down to check it out. He sat in the waiting room for hours, just filling out paperwork, before they called him in for bloodwork. the doctor said it was to make sure he was a viable canidate for the study.
A week later, he got a call beck from the doctor, he was cleared for testing. They came and picked him up in a blacked-out limo and took him to the lab, which was underground, away from prying eyes. They told him the truth, that they were actually testing chemicals that could mess him up both physically and psychologically. Axel thought about it for a moment, deciding that the incredibly large sum of money they were paying him was too much to say no to.
They strapped him to his chair as they stuck an I-V in his arm. Axel watched as the light purple and somewhat calous liquid flowed through the tube and into his body. Almost immediately he began to writhe in pain as it made its way through his his insides, eventually making him convulse and pass out. Ten minutes later he woke up in a bed. The doctor told Axel that the test failed, there were no changes in his body.
He went home with his check and, feeling extremely weak and stressed out, passed out on his couch. Axel woke up a few days later and walked around like nothing was wrong. Then when he sat down to eat, he noticed his arms and hands were covered in stone. He yelped out in fear for a moment before looking back down at his hand, which was now back to normal. It turned out that the test hadn't failed, it just took some time to fully take effect.
Axel never called the doctor, or scientist rather, to tell him what happened. He just decided to deal with these 'super powers' himself, which included the power of electricity as well.
