whoever said karma was a b***h has obviously never worked with chiffon... stare
i pinned it to the carpet in order to cut it out.
it took me 3 hours to fold it, pin it, cut it out, and iron 4 feet of the hem and use stitch witchery to fold it over.
I have a LOT left.
figured out you can't put a hot iron ON the stuff because IT MELTS. :O then sticks to the iron, making progress impossible. then you go to bed at midnight and shiver until you change into warm pants (versus very light shorts) and fall asleep at 1 am, waking up at 7:30, 8:30, and 9:50 in hopes of getting up in time to enjoy the morning.
the loft went from 65 degrees last night to 80 this morning. sketch.
on the plus, the chiffon looks WONDERFUL. like seriously, this is the most gorgeous hem I've ever done. xD
i have just enough scrap left to make a really cute scarf... with the selvage edges with the numbers still on it... ahahahha......... oh well. it'll make a good convo starter.
aunt got a kindle fire. she's is technologically illiterate, so she gave it to my mom. haven't been home to see it, kinda excited actually.
speaking of technologically illiterate, i'm having issues with the music editing stuff I got. *cries* yesterday I was able to get the keyboard to read on the compy, but when I tried it today it read that it was there but didn't make sound when i hit the keys. have the beginnings of an idea for a song, too.... :/
so honestly i was planning to go to the gym this morning... ahaha.
actually, I like the idea of packing now and putting the workout clothes in a separate bag for use when I get back home. not home home, but there's this small little place mom joined that has a couple treadmills, an elliptical and stair-stepper, a cycle thing, and a bunch of weights that I can go to whenever I'm home. ^^
need to figure out what has to go home and what can stay here... hmm.
radio is still going good, nervous for the 5-hour shift on monday, yet absurdly excited at the same time.
christmas vacay is going soooo freaking fast. glad I can take it in bits and pieces like this for a little variety... now we'll see what happens next week. thinking i'll bring the rollerblades for practice, and possibly go to a movie or something... by myself. pahahaha xD
and finish everything. like this ridiculous chiffon shirt.
right then. gonna start packing.
have i mentioned how glad I am that I bought that TV? :3
