I'll start at the beginning of the day...you should understand the title soon enough
At 5:30, a seagull called hartily into my dreams. Jumping up, I walked over to my alarm, turned it off and layed back onto my bed. Falling back asleep almost instantaneously, my schedule of actually rising at 5:45 failed again. 45 minutes passed. At 6:15, my inner alarm clock rang, and I opened my eyes wearily, habitually glancing at my clock. I stiffened and leaped out of bed, sleep forgotten. Rushing hrough my chores in 5 minutes, I plopped on my bed once more, though refused to lie down. Dazing while sitting, I waited for Dad to come and tell me we had to go. When the time came, I was eager. Picking up the grapes I was bringing to school, I asked Dad if I could take a box of those small waters with it. Almost unfortunately, he said yes. A sun promised a beautiful day as we rode to school, stopping at the NY deli on the way. I dunno why they call it that. We live in AL. Carrying the water, grapes, and bagged breakfast into school, I hurriedly ate. Sauntering to gym to wait for class to start. Long after we had finished the SAT's for the day, and after I was home, Wanda showed me a stray cat. Guess where she was? In the trap Dad had set so critters woudn't eat our plants. She wrenched my heart with her pleading mews, ever so consistent. I took a skinny stick and pet her head with it throgh the bars of the thin cage. She calmed at this little bit of help. When we let her go, we had to shoo her off, lest it shuld happen again. I'd never forget that look in her eyes. It clearly said "Thank you. Thank you so much. I will be on my way now." To see that in a cat's eyes is the greatest thing possible.
I'm so emotional. Crap me.
