Draconia St. George
October 18
Today, Tori Underbridge had us all over for dinner. She lives in a cave that is, appropriately enough, under a bridge. I guess her father works in construction and likes to stay close to his work. Her home was nice and cozy, but a bit cramped for us winged types.

Most of the food served was organic, natural foods that didn't require a lot of cooking, so a lot of vegetables and a nice tomato gazpacho, which means a cold soup. I think her family was terrified at how much pepper I put on everything. I hope I didn't insult their cooking!

After the meal, Tori took us out the other end of the cave to a scary cool grove of trees where she spends her spare time tending to the plants. It seemed like a wonderful place to sit a spell and read a book. Glen dared me to climb the tallest tree and jump down, but I'm still very shaky on my flying fundamentals. Then, to prove it could be done, he flew up there, and flew back down on his enchanted skateboard.

I gave Hellene and Tori one look and they silently agreed; we all finally confronted Glen and told him that he had to stop trying to hard to impress us all the time. Unfortunately, the talk didn't go the way I supposed it would, and Glen seemed to translate it as us saying we didn't think he COULD impress us. He got a bit hot about it, too, and claimed that he could cast any spell in the Forbidden section of my uncle's bookstore.

Fortunately, before it could turn into a full-blown argument, Tori's mother came out with home-made Eye-scream for dessert! The rest of the evening was wonderful, but I do wish Glen would forget about the Forbidden section at the Looking Glass.
