The Axeman-Matthias At-bridge
Matthias stepped back as the creature howled in pain, barely resisting the urge to cover his ears. The sound was almost painful to hear. He had not yet hit the creature with his axe, so what could be causing it pain? His mind drifted back to the promise he couldn't remember. What was it that he had promised to do, and for who? Suddenly, a memory ripped through his brain. But we are not friends. Matthias tightened his grip on the axe handle. He relaxed his grip, tightened it again, and relaxed it again. What had that memory been of? It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the promise. The promise was about protecting someone. Why would he protect someone he didn't like? Matthias did not know why, but he felt it was very, very important that he remember his promise. He back away a few steps from the creature and watched it warily. The situation was becoming quite grim.
Grim? Another memory ripped through Matthias' mind."Just because you're a Grimm? Well, you're half right. No, I don't like your family. I don't like Charlie, and I don't like Claire. And I don't like you because you act like them! "Charlie? Claire? Who were they? "Why?" Matthias exclaimed in a voice somewhere between anger and anguish."Why can't I remember?"
