Fox Demoness - Other - Romance

-The Situation-
Janelle Fox seemed to have it all; money, beauty, a loving father, the perfect best friend, and any guy she wanted at the time. And even though everyone figured her to be some little air head heiress, she wasn't. In fact she had graduated valedictorian of her private school. Every scholarship a person could dream of was in her hands, giving her the option to do whatever it was she wanted to do with her life. Yet, with all those options being laid at her feet, she had picked modeling. Not that the girl wasn't suited for it. It was just that her father had been very upset with her decision. You see, Janelle's father was a business man, one who owned many four star hotels and restaurants, and with the fact that Janelle was as smart, or smarter, than himself, he had expected her to take over all his affairs when he retired. Janelle had tried to tell him that she was going to take over everything when he retired but between now and then she just wanted to have fun. However, her father had simply refused to listen. From that moment on they fought constantly, her father refusing to be proud of anything she did unless it involved his business. Janelle, being the misunderstood, impatient, nineteen year old she was, quickly grew tired of the pressure her father put on her. All of that is what led her to take fifty thousand dollars from her fathers personal safe and disappear. No one, not even Janelle's best friend Kira, knew where she was. After a week with no sight or word from her, Janelle's father hired the best man he could find to track her down and bring her home no matter what it took.

-Presently-
Janelle glanced over herself in the mirror, very happy with her outcome of, what she considered to be, simple clothes. Dark denim, skin tight jeans hugged her hips, a black belly shirt that gave a teasing glimpse of her flattened abs, and black heels that adorned her feet. On top of her head rested a dark denim, fashionable hat which allowed her waist length, blond hair to flow freely down her back while hiding her fox ears. Though, she noted, catching a glimpse of it swaying behind her in the mirror, there was no way to hide her tail. Janelle shrugged it off carelessly. In this day and age people, demons, and all the similar creatures coexisted. The reason for hiding her ears and dressing 'simply' was so no one would recognize her. That was also the reason for her purple eyes being hidden behind blue contacts.

Placing her hands on her hips she walked over to the window to gaze down at the lights of Vegas, a smile gracing her lips. Never, not in a million years, would they think she would leave L.A. and come here. Before hand she had realized that they would be tracing her location through plane tickets purchased in her or her father's name, so she struck a deal with a nice family of five going on vacation; she gave them enough cash to pay for each of their tickets and the one they would buy for her, plus a little something for secrecy, and they lent her their credit card just long enough to buy her own ticket. And, just to top things off, they hadn't even exchanged names to make sure the ordeal was kept a secret. A light giggle escaped Janelle at the deviousness of what she had done. 'So much for daddy's little girl.' She thought slyly as she turned her back to the window.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With no worries of being caught by her father, or someone he might send out after her, Janelle stepped out of the hotel she was staying in and onto the street. Glancing back to the hotel she noted that it didn't even look like something she would stay in. That was good, it added to her chances of not being caught. Besides that, she was paying for her stay in cash and had even used a fake name, her ex boyfriends to be exact. Blake was out of the country right now so he it wasn't like he would have the slightest idea, nor would her father be as clever to realize she might use an ex boyfriend's name. Their breakup had been nasty, leaving her no reason to use his name, which is exactly why she had done so.

A bright smile formed on her lips as she lowered her eyes to actually look at all the buildings, trying to decide where she wanted to go tonight. Of course most everywhere in Vegas you had to be twenty one or older to get in, which is exactly why she had a fake I.D. Recalling the fake I.D. in her pocket she decided a bar was exactly where she wanted to go. And, sense she had only brought enough money for cab fair with no doubt she could find some guy to buy willing her drinks, there was nothing of importance to lose. Therefor, tonight would be the night she was going to get wasted and then, maybe, she would return home after the hangover had worn off. Maybe, but more than likely not. Janelle had discovered she liked this freedom away from her father's watchful eye and she didn't want to give it up so soon. Little did she know that she didn't really have a choice...

Janelle handed the cab driver the money she owed him and stepped out of the cab, sticking the rest of the money in her bra where it would be safe from people who liked to pick pocket. An eerie feeling fell over her for a moment, a chill running up her spine at the same time. Casually she glanced over her shoulder, expecting to see someone, but there was no one. After moving her fake blue eyes to focus ahead of her she still didn't see anything, or anyone. Then, after turning herself in a quick circle, Janelle realized she was the only one on the street. That was just... strange. After all, she was in Vegas. Streets were just not empty here, no matter what the time was. No longer being able to resist the urge to be around other people, she began to walk quickly towards the street corner that led to the bar. Unfortunately, Janelle only made it a few steps before she had to pass by the dark alley way. Her mind didn't really acknowledge that fact, or danger, as she continued on her way. Within the blink of an eye a strong arm wrapped around her small waist, a rough hand simultaneously landing firmly over her mouth to quiet her scream, and she was drug backwards into the alley.
