The sun shines down on them
like a huge spotlight hung high in the sky
the beating of the drums pulses into the ground
and into our feet as they march through the streets.
The brass instruments buzz their notes through the
steel tubes with twists and turns to no end
The woodwinds play their notes through the
long wooden instrument with thousands of buttons
Together the band marches as their music pulses,
pulses through the air and inspires all who listen
but it all comes to an end,
an end... an end that comes
too soon
