PART TWO


The next morning there was a knock on Alex’s door. Alex was cautious as he went to the door and looked through the peephole. The person at the door was his friend, Trickeyna, A.K.A Tricky.
Alex opened the door and let her in.
“Hey Tricky! Haven’t seen you for a while! How you been?” Alex greeted.
“Hey Alex, sorry to just drop by like this. I’m on my way to visit a friend of mine from Florida.” Tricky said.
“Where does you’re friend live?” Alex asked, sitting down at the kitchen table.
“Oh, it’s actually only four houses down from here.” Tricky replied, sitting down across from Alex.
Alex was quiet for a long time before saying, “Last night something happened at that house. I’m-”
“What happened? Is he alright?” Tricky interrupted.
“No I’m afraid sh…wait, he?” Alex asked her.
“Yea, I met him in Florida. He said he would move in yesterday so I came by to see if he was settled. Now, is he alright?” Tricky asked again.
“The victim was a woman.” Alex muttered to himself.
“What? Victim? Alex, what’s going on?” Tricky asked, getting a little worried.
“Four houses down there was a murder. But the victim was a woman.” Alex answered.
“What? That doesn’t make any since though.” Tricky said, mostly to herself.
“Do you think your friend would be capable of doing this?” Alex asked.
“No…no, he couldn’t…” Tricky replied, shaking her head.
“Well, anything could have happened. We need to find your friend and find out exactly what happened.” Alex suggested.
“Yea, good idea. Um…Where to first?” Tricky asked, standing up.
Alex stood up too then said, “I’m, going to check the bars first. You are staying here where it’s safe.” Alex replied as he headed for the door.
“Oh, no I’m not! I’m going with you whether you like it or not Alex.” Tricky insisted, a look of determination on her face.
Alex stared at her for a second then gave in, “Fine. Just don’t get in the way ok.”
“I wont!” Tricky said as she and Alex left the house.
