The terror leaks in through a crack you did not know was there. The crushing sense of fear, the constant panic. The feeling your body is slowly shutting down. You try to run faster, try to put more distance, but fail. The panic finally settles in. You know you won't make it. It's to far. One jump. Death, or a small chance of life. You have to make the decision. The resolve. You can't turn around and apologise. It's to late for that. It finally settles in. The last decision, and you made the wrong choice. you don't get another chance. It's already gone.
