Waking in the Hell Hole
I remember the day when it all started, The fear, The desires, The romance, The chase. The beginning of the most dramatic point in my life. But those are all just memories now, things that I keep locked away in my mind, hidden from the world. So I am going to tell you a little story, a story of Love and Hate. And it all begins like this...
BUZZ! BUZZ! BUZZ! I groaned as the sound of my alarm clock went off, my hand fumbling for the off button. I was dreading this day, The day we entered the prison that everyone called school once more. It was the first day back from Christmas break, and I was the same every year. I would go back to school, and everyone would be talking about what they got for Christmas, and when they asked me what I got, I would say, "I got a new family this Christmas." and everyone would whisper.
You see, I was a foster kid, and I had to move around a lot because no one seemed to want me, My life had been a living hell, but this home was the worse yet. I threw the covers from my head and opened my eyes, looking around the small, hot room that my 'parents' considered to be livable. As my eyes scanned the room, a soft sigh escaped my lips, it was another gloomy day, and I knew it would be cold. I didn't like winter, it was my least favorite season, as the sun was hardly ever out. A loud yell brought me out of my daydreaming, and I gritted my teeth at the sound of my 'Mom's' voice. "ZOE! GET YOUR LAZY a** OUT OF BED!!" she screamed from the outside of my door, pounding against the frail wood. "I'm up!" I called back, pushing myself up and off the bed. Slowly, I made my way towards the door, my hand brushing the smooth knob, as my pale fingers clenche around it, and I braced myself for what was to come.
