The March Hare: Breakdown
User Image
"See all the trouble you started?"

Name: Ophelia
Alias: Chamomile Hare, The March Hare
Gender: Female
Species: Hare
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Relationship Status: Single, not looking

Age: 23
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 114 lbs
Hair: Pink, long
Eyes: Red-pink in color, long lashes
Skin: Pale, no freckles, no markings
Body Type: Slender, streamlined, somewhat busty
Style: Neo-Victorianism, lots of monochrome, stripes, and bows

Occupation: Ophelia has two real professions, the first of which is as a successful apothecary who sells herbal ingredients, horrific poisons, and other brews of ill repute. She is also a dealer of fine teas and tea accessories.
Social Position: Her steady income has placed her in the range of the middle-upper class, though due to her shady past, the March Hare isn't exactly the sort of person that gets invited to high society teas.
Living Situation: The March Hare has her own home, a little cottage located on the edge of the Woods that were once her hunting grounds. It is here that she and the Hatter hold the famous Wonderland tea parties. It is isolated from the majority of Wonderland, but comfortable.
Alignment: To put it most simply, she is 'neutral'; neither good nor bad. She is a true anarchist and refuses to acknowledge the power of any monarch, but when she acts it is with her own best interest at heart. It is worth noting, however, that good or bad, she will almost always support the Hatter.

Personality: The March Hare is calm, friendly, and poised; she considers herself quite restrained, and sometimes it shows. As long as her blindfold is in place, her wild nature is tamed; she is compassionate and empathetic to the concerns of others, even if she has an inability to emotionally invest in most. She is quite polite, and always ready to welcome travelers to tea; generally she means them no harm, though she has no qualms about striking if she feels threatened. She's developed a bit of a motherly air to her; she is responsible, often the one caring for and scolding the Hatter for his bad lifestyle choices. She also is ready and willing to use her herbal knowledge to help those in pain. But to think her a gentle, kind spirit would be a mistake; she can be jealous and resentful. Once slighted, she rarely if ever forgives. Still, this is a great improvement over March without her blindfold. Without it, she reverts to her true nature: wild, reckless, and manically bloodthirsty. Without her blindfold, March is a killer unable to distinguish friend from foe, a wild animal. She does not like this side to herself; now that she has realized she can think as a human, she has little to no desire to revert to mindlessness. So she wears the blindfold that was, at first, forced on her, willingly, and removes it only in the most severe of situations.

History: To understand the March Hare's history, it's best to know a little about her Wonderland. There is whimsy in this Wonderland, but also danger; violence is widespread, debauchery is openly encouraged, and it isn't always safe to wander the momerath paths alone. The Queens, the leading authorities in Wonderland, are in constant battle, ruling their respective venues with iron fists, and the inhabitants balance between tentatively maintained order and anarchy. Wonderland is almost child-like in its imaginings, holding the childish abandon and reasoning somewhat outside of logical thought. It is a violent place of power unleashed, where anything is possible if one keeps their wits about them.
++++++++It is in this environment that...

"Ah, that's just it. If you don't think, then you shouldn't talk."
