Name: Enberlen Menelilúvë (Pronounced En-bur-lehn Men-eh-lee-loo-vay)
Alias: Nim fëa (the white spirit) (pronounced Nim Fay-ah)
Race: Turlane Elf
From Whence you hail: The Valley of Knowledge, Currently apprenticing beneath a professor at Lanwe
Position or Title: Apprentice, Mage
Age: 3,389
Gender: Male
Height: 6 ft 2 inches

Hair & Eyes: Enberlen is of Turlane descent and as such was born with the fair features of his kind. His hair is a pale silver, near white in the sun, and reaches a hands length above his knees. It is often worn up in intricate buns and wove, braidedn styles, threaded with bands and trinkets of white and silver. Unlike most elves, he prefers his mane subdued and away from his face as much as possible, finding it freer, as well as less of a hindrance to his delicate senses. His eyes are a pale milky white tinted with a faint azure, the pupil nonexistent. Strangely, he was born blind, a defect none have been able to explain nor understand, and has lived his long life without the pleasure of sight. Despite this, his eyes always seem warm and gentle, and have a way of piercing ones soul despite being relatively useless organs.

Weapon of choice: Mededhron – a set of elvish heirloom daggers easily hidden in the folds of his robes. These are the last remaining tie Enberlen has to his Elvish family. They belonged to his father before him, and were taken up by the survivng Menelilúvë upon his death. They are small, the hilt made of ivory and set with stones of pure peridot and pearl with silver filigree, and barely long enough to cross the palm of ones hand. The blades are slightly curved, detailed with a flowing motif and an ancient elvish charm to aid in their accuracy. Most commonly used for throwing or sudden strikes, they are useful weapons; quick to strike and deadly when utilized to their full potential. Enberlen however carries them more as a reminder then a true weapon, as he has very little combat training. When faced with an enemy he will often utilize his magic’s, creating a diversion long enough for him to slip away unseen.

Power or ability: Charmer of Illusions. Unaturally heightened senses. This is in fact the biproduct of his blindness, and his bodies way of adjusting to the lack of sight then a true, born gift.

Appearance: Enberlen Sometimes referred to as Nim fëa amongst the locals and dwellers at Lanwe, Enberlen certainly embodies this title. Tall, elegant and pristine white, he is a figure as pale as snow and just as delicate looking. His frame is lithe, slender, sporting little to no muscle. He is not a fighter, but a scholar and this lack of militaristic training is obvious in his slight, almost fragile build. He has long graceful fingers, tipped by naturally elongated nails that fade into a sharp silver at the ends. Fair of face, it is often amongst others not born of Elvish blood that he is mistaken for a female. Garbed mostly in the colors of winter, it is rare to see Enberlen in anything but flowing robes of white and silver, with the occasional cream or pale peridot. This muted wardrobe, though elegant and finely detailed, is as much an aesthetic choice as it is a logical one; allowing the elf to all but vanish into the perpetually snow capped landscape of his home.

Personality: Calm, serene and even tempered. Enberlen is a caring individual, said to have room in his heart for all creatures; even though his upbringing has left him apprehensive around unknown mortals. He is a logic driven person, sometimes thinking first before feeling. Occasionally this trait can leave him being perceived as cold, or somewhat aloof in nature, but in fact he is a very warm, and gentle person. He is self sufficient, sometimes quiet, and a very observant creature, especially around adults or strangers. However, around children, animals and those he considers kin, he is a completely different person; joyful, friendly, affectionate and outgoing. He is very reserved physically, tending to stray from most touches, save the few he feels truly comfortable around.

Hobbies: His greatest passion is and has always been literature, for which he holds a fond love, however, being blind he cannot read for himself and as such spends much of his time listening to the readings of others or weaving his own tales to share. Among his other passions is the pursuit of knowledge, his love of logic and music, as well as a fair interest in the healing arts even though he does not possess the touch of a true mage healer. He also enjoys riding, traveling and teaching, and the occasional game of chess and such other games of logic.

Summery: Born to a Turlane father and a Pureblooded Lanii mother, Enberlen and his twin Eruanna were brought into this world and raised in their early years just off the shores of the Luen. Here they dwelled for four springs of happiness, before darkness crept upon them. One night in late winter, humanarian hunters crept upon their home, ransacking, burning, and killing everything they touched. His mother was murdered in battle, and his father ensnared and dissected before their eyes to be sold to the highest bidder amongst the revel and riot of the Port of Isen. The twins, little more then elvish babes were left alone amongst the ruins, hidden from their attackers in a thicket of rock and trees. For days, the children shivered in what was once their home, kept company only by the corpse of their mother, and the dead hunters left behind for the crows. Eruanna, the younger of the two Turlane’s had been wounded in the skirmish and poisoned by a stray arrow; she died in Enberlen’s arm’s a little over a fortnight after the attack. Now alone, the blind child grieved, confused, starving and freezing. By chance a traveling Fae on route to the Valley of Knowledge happened upon the orphaned elf and took the boy under his wing. Ril was the creatures’ name, a wind Fae born from the breath of a Tal lord, of the far off city of Tal Chal commuting to Lanwe to take up the mantle of professor. The Fae raised him as his own, teaching the young elf all there was to know. For the first thousand years of his life, Enberlen did not speak. Many believed the boy mute as well as blind, but Ril knew better; having touched his adopted son’s mind. The elf did not lack the capacity for vocal expression, he simply chose not to partake in conversation; preferring to listen. Whether this was a conscious choice or an after effect of the horrors of his early years remains unseen.

In time, Enberlen grew into himself, becoming an intelligent, studious and gifted creature. Despite his handicap of blindness, the last remaining Menelilúvë is surprisingly able and possess a strange gift. He is a master of illusions, creating visions out of smoke and white flame; painting the most brilliant pictures that dance and sparkle. It is a rare gift; in all his long life he has never encountered another with its likeness. Instead of being prideful of such uniqueness, Enberlen focuses upon sharing his gift anyway he can. He is a skilled story teller and a talented singer; weaving words in a soft tenor timber and pictures of magnificent tales into a visual experience unmatched by any other for any audience willing to listen. He has a fondness for children in particular, their wide eyed innocence calling to his peaceful nature.

After his two thousandth year, the elf entered the scholastic vocation of apprenticeship beneath his master; a female elvish professor at the school whom specialized in the cultivation of elvish magic’s. After Ril passed away from age, Maerwen took Enberlen in, having a soft spot for the Turlane since his arrival. The same can be said of Yáviel, a Mithrim whom found the child wandering the snowy forests when he was a mere babe. Gifted with long lives, the Mithrim became attached to him and they grew as friends and kindred spirits over the many years. He is Enberlen’s truest companion.

With a keen understanding of what he is and what the outside world is capable of doing to his kind, Enberlen has chosen all these many years to remain safely within the borders of the elven forests; never venturing beyond the welcoming fold of his kin. To this day, he is apprehensive and even somewhat fearful of mortals, even those dwelling in the peaceful kingdom of Knowledge. He will go out of his way to avoid them at all costs.
