Things can never go smoothly with my father, I had forgotten that. He insists the betrothal feast should be held in Tirion. I sent him a letter to say that there was no point in that since I intend to continue living in Alqualonde with Olwe's kin. I think I hurt him a little (I did not mean to confused ). He wrote back to say that in that case, it made even more sense to at least have the bethrothal ceremony in Tirion and then we could do as we pleased in Alqualonde with the wedding. I do not think we need to worry about the wedding for a few years, but I reluctantly agreed to what he was suggesting. I will travel tomorrow before Telperion waxes to help with the preparation of the feast. Really, it is not that long a ride, my father and I could have easily settled this in person rather than writing letters. How silly. xp
