Powers/Abilities: Sniper's power is kinekinesis, or control of motion and acceleration. Put more simply, Sniper can create, divert, or negate forces. Sniper's power follows a distinct set of rules:
1) The further away a point is from Sniper's heart, the harder it is to create or control a force at that point; there is a very sharp loss of power with distance, the threshhold for extremely precise/strong control being about 10 feet; one could stand at the edge of this circle and be perfectly safe to all but a minor push or pull, as one could make with one arm while standing still. At about 15 feet, the strength is that as you could make with your wrist and hand alone while standing still. Finally, past 17 feet, the strongest force Sniper could impose on you would be akin to flexing his pinky finger. A larger force or distance requires a larger amount of concentration and mental power.
2)Redirection or negation of forces may not violate Newton's Third Law (For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction); that is, every force Sniper creates, an equal and opposite force is applied to his own body. For example; Sniper pushes object X down with a force. in this scenario, an equal force will push Sniper's entire mass, evenly distributed, up. Through concentration, Sniper can cause the force to be isolated to one part of his body. An example of this could be Sniper running at someone, applying a force backwards on the moving ground so that he could punch his arm forward with an extreme force (probably also breaking his arm).
3)Redirection or negation of forces can only be performed on a Moving Object (relative to Sniper). For example; say Sniper is holding a ball. The ball would be considered "Stationary," as it is a "part" of Sniper's body, in a sense, and moves with him. If he and the ball are moving together, however, the ball is still considered "Stationary," as the ball and Sniper are moving at the same speed in the same direction. Now, if Sniper were to stand still and throw the ball, the ball is now "Moving," as it is not moving with Sniper, nor is it a part of his person. Now, if he were to set the ball on the ground and walk away with it, the ball is now "Moving," even thought it would be stationary to a person standing still. This is because, from Sniper's point of view, the ball is "moving" away from him.
Weaknesses: Other than his power, Shawn is a normal person. This means that using his power is, in and of itself, potentially deadly to him. A key point to Sniper's power is concentration; if his concentration is broken, then his powers can often go awry very quickly.
Weapons: Shawn always carries with him several rolls of pennies and a few sharp objects such as needles or jacks. Anything in the world is, essentially, a potential weapon. He also carries with him a high powered sniper rifle, which is his namesake.
History: Shawn (thinks) was born and raised by his loving parents in a quiet home in middle-class suburbia. He has known very little of suffering, and was sent to the school for good littled gifteds as soon as his powers began to manifest.
He once went away on a tour of sharp-shooters and, because of his fame in other countries, is independently wealthy to a certain degree. He makes a constant stream of money advertising for gun companies overseas.
